You did them a huge favor by taking the teller lead position. Teller lead positions are ridicuously hard to fill bc it's about 10x more work, pressure, and responsiblity for what? A dollar more? So not worth it AND you have that terrible commute. Teller leads are incredibly hard working and incredibly underpaid. They should be treating you so much better than this. I'm a teller and I love my job. If I were you, I would start looking for another bank to work at. If you still want to be a teller l…

Agree, this is how it should be and how I think it will be eventually. Especially once he starts work again. Right now he's just holding on a little tightly.

Awww this was really sweet and so helpful! Yes the big yard with my sister definitely feeds me. That is so logical that I do need to do things to recharge so I can be the best wife I can be. 💖

That is actually a really good idea about the hobby. I can always do like a bible study or workout class with my sister.

Yes! That no one talks about! It's all supposed to be sunshine and rainbows and happily ever after the end haha. I will look into that book, and that podcast. I agree that women need connections, this is something I took for granted before. Living with my mom and my sister they were always there. Now it's so weird. We need some emotional support outside the relationship. I can't believe how much I took it for granted before.

Well, this is really good to know. He's the same way in that it would be just more enjoyable for all of us if he stays behind. He really doesn't want to be there. And if here's there I'll just be hanging all over him and not paying attention to my family anyway haha. So I'm happy to know that is something you are able to do now and hopefully we'll get to that point. I also appreciate your other feedback too.

yes, I feel this. I'll probably have to wait til we find a new place for it to truly feel like mine.

Thank you! It helps to hear how other people do things. I may look into the bullet vibe at some point down the line, once we get acclimated a little more. I also think every two weeks is very reasonable to see family.

Thank you for sharing. It makes sense. It's like how can I love him and put him first but still stay close with my family. He needs to know that both are important to me. I do feel bad sometimes like somethings wrong with me and I should only need him from now on but thats not true. We need support.

He was like, look i know youre crying all the time and you don't want to be with me, you wanna be at home so just go stay there until youre ready to move out. Me: no, i want to be with you or I wouldn't have married you. I love you first. It's just a big transition and I need your support and I need my families support too. I can't do this if you fight me, that adds more stress. Most people don't change everything all at once. You got to find a new job, wait a few months, move to a new place, wa…

To be honest I've really been trying to figure this out. My first thought is to say it's insecurity and he feels threatened by my relationship with my family, that somehow if I leave him for a few hours it means I don't love him the most. But. Really diving in deeper. It may have a lot to do with his own family situation that he is projecting onto mine. He explained that when he moved out, his relationship with his parents improved bc he was no longer involved in their drama, and he wants the sa…

Wow, we have a lot in common! I wish he had someone to talk to about it, but he is the first in his friend group to get married, so he's relying on google and he'll be the one giving advice to his friends in the coming years. Actually hah I found the only night I'm in the mood for sex is when I had a drink. I did this a few nights on the honeymoon. But sadly he refuses to drink and doesn't like when I do it either so there's that. I feel that paragraph on being an introvert so much. It was shock…

It is so comforting to hear that comment that you known women who have gone through a grieving process after getting married. I feel like I'm not alone. No one ever thinks about this aspect but everyone wants to grow up eventually. Do you know any of the literature I could read? That's a good point, that he probably read something about bonding time. I hopefully will have a new job soon. I am applying. We have started a joint savings account to save for a house and hopefully we can do that in 2 …

Wow, thank you! I feel this so hard. I'm happy you can relate. The walls are entirely covered with samurai swords, gun paraphenalia, star wars posters, creepy metal band guys staring at me, lol. It's not peaceful and it feels foreign. But I bought it up already he replaced one of his with a photo of a castle I brought. Thank goodness. It's a relief to hear that you cried also. It alarmed me when I was crying the night before our wedding as it all finally hit me how much would be changing. I'm ha…

Thank you so much. I'm happy that you think I'll be find and grieving is normal. I agree, and I explained that I need support from my family to make the transition. And we will need support from them especially when we have kids. Isolation is not the right thing and I hoping he will come around to that conclusion.

He knows trust me haha. He sees me crying. We're both at a loss for what to do. At one point he got really angry and said just stay with my family for a while if that's what I want. He thought the crying meant I didn't want to be with him. But I did explain my perspective and he's trying to be more supportive.
