Look at Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, most people are trying to fulfill a sense of purpose and their esteem needs rather than reaching full self actualization. This unfortunately results in a society wide pathology where people compare their lives to one another, and unnecessarily so. Live and let live, pursue what actualizes you.

You’re right, I’ve never been on tinder/any dating app because it’s always been a joke to me. I’m nearly 30 and meeting people in person has always offered me a much better read on a person’s true personality and intentions than an app ever could. The app is always the rose colored polished product, while reality is well, reality. Difficult to blot out the sun with a fingertip.

Nah dude, a person is responsible for whom they ultimately become. Obviously factors like abuse can heavily influence a person to become an abuser themselves, however, people come out the other end as champions as well; whom protect those who’ve been abused like them instead of perpetuating it.
