You can hide anything behind the curtain like it was just for the sake of plot. But the actual message was still there and they considered putting it there. Nothing. Nature is nature, biology is biology. Men got physical superiority, women got longer lifetime. Women are not as strong as men and men don't live as long as women. Equality and forever peace is just a false dream of humanity. There is no equality. Or at least long lasting or total. You can be equal with your wife, daughter, sister, etc, but not with the rest of the world. One will be above all the others, and this cannot be changed.
