Definitely a good way to put it. But I’ve been in her situation of not wanting to date after a breakup and I messed up a good thing with a very attractive girl, so it all depends how you feel

I definitely have developed that. When I would chill as friends I didn’t give a shit and she was always down to chill. The second I started caring she pulled back. Weird stuff, but in my experience most girls are straight up. I’ve been with an okay amount of women and the ones who weren’t interested always let me know

That’s a good way to put it. Just thought we were better friends than that. It was for a while before I caught feelings

I thought about this... but if she wasn’t up front about how she felt, I feel like she’d leave me just even more confused. I have to think about it but it is good advice as well

Haha but if we’ve been friends for a while, what’s the point of leaving me confused and not being honest? She could have said let’s stay friends and my feelings would have ended there in the first stage

Basically where I am now. If she’s doing that I think it’s more out of confusion instead of “I need validation” but at any rate, definitely won’t be asking to hang out again. Just going to go with flow and if she asks me to hangout then cool. If not, I need to make it so I have options

Yeah that’s how it felt. We’ve been friends for a bit before I caught feelings, and she’s always been kind and sweet I can’t see her doing that on purpose but, you never know. I need an abundance mindset.

I appreciate your insightful response. I know she clearly isn’t ready for a relationship so I’m trying to keep it casual but it’s tough since we’ve been friends for a bit until I actually caught feeling. I like your mentality though. It’s very go with the flow, just be confident in yourself type of attitude. I’ll adopt your advice, thanks

I’m guilty of over texting a bit...I told this girl we should date, and she told me she was healing from a past relationship (which I know is true) but she could see it happening in the future. We hung out once after that and then she seemed really busy, but nothing went wrong that last time we chilled. I asked this girl probably 4 times to hangout this August (she had an excuse for each). She still hits me up by texting but I’m not sure it’s leading anywhere. Am I wasting my time? Or trust that…

Wouldn’t blame yourself. Just keep trying some people are shallow. Depends how much / how you looked at her though. It’s a numbers game honestly, no one is a mind reader so think that it was good you approached her. It’s a no? Whatever her loss

By humoring I mean talk about what she wants. So talk about covid and how you feel about it for example for a while. Controlling means spinning the conversation in the way you want it go. What positive topics do you want to talk about? Her life goals? What she enjoys? Ask! The problem with talking so much is that you just run out of topics to talk about.. try sending memes, or ask her how she’s been feeling. It’s hard to tell you topics when your the one who knows her best

You talk everyday? That may be your problem. Is it texting or talking in person? Keep some mystery. If she wants to talk about contemporary topics humor her for a while but you need to lead the conversation in the way you want it. You need to be in control. You want positive topics? Talk about what you want but make sure you tend to her needs sometimes

As a guy who’s in this position right now with a girl, the less that she talks to me, the more that I assume she’s moving on and doesn’t want to speak with me. Since she’s on my mind I tend to text more so everyone is different. So if you really like the person, at least make it slightly known, and maybe initiate conversation a few times if anything. That will show him that you care.

My friend does this. On a cruise, we sat in a hottub next to this hot girl and her family. He started talking to the family first, got them laughing, and let him know we had a big friend group with us and that his daughter should come with us. Dude thought My friend was so nice and he let her go with us. He ended up banging her multiple times that cruise lol

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
