I think the biggest issue is that too many feminists want all the benefits and privileges that men have (which women should also have if they don’t already) but without any of the responsibilities or consequences (which they should also have if they don’t already)

He may not need it but for many people just going up to someone and saying “hi, I think you are cute, and want to get to know you” isn’t exactly easy and in our culture it’s expected that the guy make the first move so even if the girl is interested she may not make a move unless the guy does first and buying a drink for someone you are interested in is an effective way to do that.

Oh I agree the only way being drunk and having sex can be rape in my view is if one party is blacked out, or one party pushed the other to drink more than they otherwise would have in order to sleep with them, if the second party would not have consented when sober.
