Others around the man do judge him though and will act differently when recognizing him at a later point. If I were a hot women and I would see a guy going from girl to girl in a bar, trying to pick them up, I would immediately get rid of him when he comes to me, even when that only happened weeks/months later. Bad thing that can happen for instance: People and other girls around you, seeing that rejection, will think less of you because you just got rejected. The advice that rejection isn't bad IS bad for beginners, because beginners are awkward at interactions and observers of the situation will think you are a loser if you are going to a couple of girls and desperately try to pick them up.
