Watch the video again. You clearly hear him saying "back off" multiple times. How is that picking a fight with her? She's absolutely the aggressor and strikes first. Then the guy strikes back until the threat is stopped.

Are you dumb? He was on the defensive the whole time. He warned her a few times to back off. It only escalated when she struck him. In my opinion he did right in defending himself. Theres probably more to this. I'm only going on based on the footage. Sure the teacher could have stepped in early to try to diffuse the situation.
