Thanks for the link. Most anti-rape ads don't specifically say "women can't be raped" but they almost always identify only men as the potential perpetrators and almost always depicts only women as potential victims. I don't think it's really a "If I can't have it then nobody should get it" argument. It's just that they should be improved to acknowledge that men also get raped, and that rapists can also be women. I think that ads like that are part of the reason why men feel like they can't come …

An issue with the rape ads it that they always target men, pretending that women also can't rape. I'm not familiar with the anti-racism ads, but they likely acknowledge that anyone can be racist.

That's exactly the point. Yeah, of course you would say something if your friend was throwing their baby in a dumpster/raping. But that goes without saying, mentioning it kinda assumes that the person is stupid enough to have to be told that.

To be fair, bodybuilders are much the same. They get their body fat percentages to extreme lows before photoshoots/competitions in order to make their muscles look better.

I don't see how The White House promoting a cancer that affects many people, yet is rarely recognized can be a bad thing. Recognize breast cancer for the ladies (yes, some men get it too though it's rare), and prostate cancer for the gentlemen. I don't see how this is a slippery slope.

That would be pretty cool actually. On a more serious note, I think that building up the confidence of boys is an important part. Girls are often told that they are beautiful and smart. Most boys probably aren't.

Maybe they don't get the support they need and loose confidence. Not a whole lot of people are concerned about the emotions and self esteem of boys in the same way they are of girls.
