| 1 | Thoughts on self-help CBT books?Maybe the good folks over at /r/selfhelp could be more enlightening. However, I have read through a CBT book before, and done some exercises from it. I have also done years of CBT with therapists, as well as RBT, RET, ACT, and others. I find the CBT books to be helpful, but it takes training. Do the exercises and refer back to the book often and it will help I believe. CBT is useful for correcting faulty cognition habits, but can be difficult for people with deeper issues.
