Regret isn’t rape, the guy not wanting a relationship after sex isn’t rape, guys who struggle socially are not doing it to be a creep/potential rapist etc.

Obviously men, I saw that with my Title IX case. People took what I said the wrong way and didn’t understand my feelings (it was hard for them because I hadn’t accepted my autism at that point either and that’s hard to relate to), I didn’t really mean harm but people always expect the worst of us, like we’re a misogynist or a potential rapist or entitled or whatever
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/04/23 03:04 AM
1

This just happens with any discussion of your struggle, I know it firsthand. Half the time I talk about how I struggle making friends and I desire to have a romantic relationship but most people just think you’re entitled/a misogynist/an incel for wanting those things
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/04/23 03:01 AM

Because wokes will try to cancel anyone who doesn’t share their opinions, and they don’t think men deserve it. Hell even a plurality of young democratic voting men don’t think feminism is good for society today
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/04/23 03:00 AM

Women can feel whatever they want and their feelings are always right but when men have feelings or misconstrued intentions that are different in interactions between the sexes the man is always viewed as a creep or a wannabe rapist or something bad
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/03/23 02:09 AM
2

It’s only valued if it’s perceived as positive, which is typically only those men who are confident, athletic, all the traditionally masculine qualities. If you’re not that way and you don’t have experience and all, you’ll be considered an incel or a creep or whatever
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/03/23 02:04 AM

Postmodernism convincing women they don’t need to do feminine things or interact with men/romantic partners at all to be happy yet again
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/03/23 02:01 AM
29

I think many women just have too high standards for men anymore, and then they yell at men when men say they don’t want to settle for someone ugly or whatever lesser quality
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/03/23 01:59 AM

I’ve been seen as weird and creepy because I was socially naive/inexperienced and didn’t understand how to make friends and was obsessed with having a girlfriend (because I felt it would help me feel “normal” and I felt most other guys had it so easy with women and I’d never dated anyone or had sex in high school)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/23 03:03 AM
3

They want you to use dating apps because “it’s safer for women than actually meeting people in person,” but dating apps suck so it’s a real snafu
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/23 03:02 AM

I definitely struggle with socializing in general, I tended to self isolate and avoid everything that wasn’t in my tight comfort zone/bubble in high school and college and even at grad school, and it’s still really challenging. I’ve done adult sports leagues which are fun but I’ve not made friends from them. Not to mention I am still scared about women and I still hate going to things alone even though I’m used to it, because I know it’s seen as creepy. And now I’m almost 26 and I’m as lonely as…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/23 02:59 AM

Don’t forget how neurodivergent men or guys from different cultural/ethnic backgrounds or just socially inexperienced/not confident guys are especially hurt by stuff like this, because you’re more likely to be seen as creepy or weird for even just trying. That kind of stuff happened to me (even though I’ll admit I was socially stupid). Or they’ll just falsely accuse you of some form of sexual misconduct which can really ruin you (which also happened to me)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/23 02:53 AM
3

Just look at the sexual Puritanism of modern feminism, you know how many things can be construed as sexual misconduct when a guy does it (well guys who aren’t desirable), it’s not about empowerment of women or recognizing their agency. You have to look at Laura Kipnis’ book Unwanted Advances, it’s all about how all the title IX shit doesn’t actually empower women and takes away their agency/self-responsibility
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/23 02:51 AM
9

The empathy gap is twofold, no one cares about our issues for one, and secondly we always get no benefit of the doubt, whatever we do is bad if it is seen that way by women or feminists
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/23 02:49 AM
5

Don’t get me started on how the worst is always expected of men when it comes to those who struggle with socializing and romantic stuff, thats what led to my Title IX case (even though I’ll admit I was socially stupid)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/23 02:46 AM
2

That still goes on now in American schools with Title IX, I am a victim of that, even though it didn’t totally ruin my life
/r/MensRights24/03/23 01:01 AM
1

And it’s just gotten worse with Title IX policies, to get rid of not desirable men, just ask me, and I didn’t do anything sexual really
/r/MensRights24/03/23 01:00 AM
2

Exactly, I don’t ever think a girl was interested in me, and the dates I got from apps really sucked. I’ve always thought that women need to be more likely to initiate and realize that sex and having a boyfriend is okay, it won’t ruin your life
/r/MensRights24/03/23 12:58 AM
1

Or were fucked over by women, especially in my Title IX case, which had little to do with anything sexual at all really
/r/MensRights24/03/23 12:54 AM
2

They’re never able to realize that many “incels” aren’t misogynistic and are left wing politically. I’d fit into that category myself. They don’t understand that it’s a challenge for many guys, both general socializing and romantic relationships
/r/MensRights24/03/23 12:53 AM
2

Women need to support their male partners, a lot of them will yell about “I’m not your therapist” but don’t realize that that emotional support is an important part of a relationship
/r/MensRights24/03/23 12:51 AM
1

It’s similar to that study that showed that 1 in 5 women are sexually assaulted on campuses, they primed the respondents and told them that a lot of stuff that doesn’t even meet criminal definitions was “sexual assault”
/r/MensRights24/03/23 12:49 AM
1

Women need to do their part to help this, even if it isn’t totally true. There’s an epidemic of sexless and lonely men like me and all I want is those social experiences
/r/MensRights24/03/23 12:47 AM
2

I can share it, it’s really bad if you want to see it. But it’s all that and more
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/03/23 12:41 AM
7

I just read this article that was supposed to be about the perils of the manosphere and it was the wokest most radlib thing I ever read, like mens issues are all about “learning consent and how to make friends,” and shit like that creates enemies too
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/03/23 12:39 AM
21

And we all know what demonizing men will do, it will lead to horrors, it’s just a self fulfilling prophecy. It’s just going to create more incels and stuff, they need to reach out to struggling and lonely men, we need to help them have sex and romantic experiences in some way or the other (I’m one of them so yeah)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/03/23 04:53 PM
4

Because modern feminism has evolved into basically women wanting to do what they think/feel men did for how long without any consequences, so they’ll treat men like how they think men used to treat women
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/03/23 01:19 AM
5

This same phenomenon is why Title IX is so messed up in the US, they follow the public definition/the definition that was created by the firm that found the 1 in 5 stat. Sexual assault can be regretting consensual sex, having sex while drunk (not talking about blacked out), all of that
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/03/23 01:16 AM
13

Bill Burr had an entire joke about the stuff in your second paragraph that was really funny
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/03/23 06:16 PM
2

I’ve seen things where women still yell about the one cent difference when all is accounted for, I’m like that’s marginal in reality
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/03/23 06:14 PM
1

That’s the thing for me, it’s not just about sex and other romantic and social experiences themselves, it’s the social validation piece
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/03/23 03:45 AM
3

Yeah, women have just as much agency as men, they can do anything we can do. They might not want sex as much or as often as we do but they still want attention and all
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/03/23 03:42 AM
3

It’s similar to the reasoning behind all those gym videos where women get mad at guys for looking at them when wearing revealing clothing, but in a way I think they want that attention subconsciously, why else would they wear that stuff?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/03/23 03:39 AM
4

I’ve had the same exact experience as you being on the spectrum as well. It’s really what led to my Title IX case, I didn’t want to hurt anyone but because of my social skills and lack of experience everything got misconstrued. I just wanted to have the same experiences as I thought others were having, like sex and a girlfriend and all that. I didn’t do much in high school, wasn’t on a sports team, self isolated so didn’t have much of a social experience, it made it all so much harder to fit in/…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/03/23 03:32 AM
2

The problem is that pretty much everything can be construed as some form of sexual misconduct nowadays, it doesn’t matter what men do sometimes
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/03/23 03:27 AM
2

Also that people who struggle in those areas are not less worthy or are weird/creepy/perverted and don’t intend to offend or hurt others
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/03/23 06:28 AM
2

I think we’re too over-sexed on the media/macro-level but on the micro level it’s worse than ever before personally
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/03/23 06:28 AM
4

And if you note how you struggle with sex and romance and dating and just socialization in general you’ll just get slurs hurled at you or that there must be something wrong with you
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/03/23 06:26 AM
3

To me it’s confusing because men who are confident and more traditionally masculine in their traits can get away with stuff that guys like me can’t. I’m on the spectrum and I’ve always been socially stupid and naive and not confident and when I showed my traits I think people thought I was weird and creepy and manipulative. My social stupidity was what caused my Title IX case in reality because I didn’t really do anything sexual, people just got tired of me and they didn’t want me around anymore
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/03/23 06:25 AM
3

Just how the culture has changed, just look at all the wacky Title IX cases, including my own. In the past women would have just been strong and empowered and handled the negative stuff that can come from their sexual decisions, now anything can be considered sexual misconduct (like regretting consensual sex, drunk sex, all that)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/03/23 06:23 AM
8

Most times if you note your struggles, radfems in particular will just call you all kinds of names like incel or porn addicted or beta male or whatever
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/03/23 06:43 PM
2

I’ve seen these “trad leftists” go on and on about how Tate is great and women should be subservient and it’s really kind of stupid, even if I find most aspects of modern feminism to be stupid
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/03/23 03:06 AM
7

On those statistics, I saw a poll that showed that even a plurality of young democratic voting men don’t think feminism is beneficial to society anymore
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/03/23 03:04 AM
2

I think middle school is the perfect time for that type of arrangement because of different developmental timelines
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/03/23 05:46 PM
2

I feel the same way as you, I think I’ve been maligned due to people seeing me as flawed for being lonely and struggling with social connections. That’s really how my Title IX started and why I don’t think people like me and all that. Like I don’t want to sound entitled but we as humans are social animals and need others to live life and be happy, is that too much to ask?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates09/03/23 02:33 AM
2

It’s weird, I think media is over sexualized but then on the micro level we’re still way too wacky about sex, especially with the new progressive Puritanism
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/03/23 07:01 AM
8

It was like that whole deal with the gym stuff, when women would wear booty shorts and tights and sports bras and all that stuff and get offended when guys look. I still do that, I don’t stare or anything but if I just look around I’m bound to see it
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/03/23 07:00 AM
9

That’s the same way I think, I just want them to recognize that there can be consequences to wearing those clothing (not talking about real sexual assault), I just think being sexual for the sake of being sexual is stupid, many women I think really do it for attention despite their denial
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/03/23 06:58 AM
3

It’s the battle between what society wants them to have and what they actually want for many women
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/02/23 04:23 PM
4

My experience/interpretation of what you’re saying comes from my own experience- I see what you describe in lots of women who claim to be so empathetic and stuff but then have bad sides/qualities that they never show (guys are like this too)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/02/23 04:22 PM
44

Especially radfems, they’re really conservative if you look at their criticisms
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/02/23 04:19 PM
2

On the other hand, they never admit that the statistics for true rape/SA reports are just as nebulous, it’s hard to measure both instances
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/02/23 05:40 PM
33

That’s the kind of shit you get from radfems- they’re insistent for that stuff about women but in the end they’ll always castigate men as porn-addicted or incels or not traditionally masculine if they have issues
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/02/23 06:00 PM
11

I’ve even seen this with the “conservative communist” types and the trad leftists- to me it’s so stupid. They’re all like “capital wants to feminize men so they’ll spend money and all” and I’m like we still have feelings and problems, traditional masculinity is still not the way to go for a lot of things (even though it is still necessary in some areas)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/02/23 05:57 PM
5

Of course, self-esteem affects your perception and continued feelings of rejection and other negative things can change into blaming others. This happened with my Title IX. And it’s funny because this came up when I was talking about this stuff with my therapist
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/02/23 06:09 PM
8

A lack of forgiveness just breeds more hate and anger, so it should be seen as a necessary thing. Also, most everyone is not irredeemable
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/02/23 03:19 AM
2

I wouldn’t say it’s solely sexual though, it’s more social harassment/misunderstanding in general
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 11:47 PM
7

This makes me think a lot about the stuff that was going on about that girl who thought that guy was creepy and harassing her at the gym, especially since I have a feeling women do the same thing to guys but in that case it’s not seen as an issue
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 11:46 PM
13

I wouldn’t consider myself an incel or anything but I’m still a virgin, I would like to have sex as I think it is one of the social experiences I have missed out on during my “youth” so far (I’m 25), but I don’t really know how I could get to that point because of my struggles/challenges. I’d prefer it not to be from a sex worker or just some random girl, I’d want it to be meaningful. But overall I feel like it makes me feel less enough and like I don’t fit in even more
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 05:48 AM
2

I agree with you on most of those things really lol
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 04:39 AM
3

I mean as long as you’re not a dick about it and you’re not castigating others for not being trad (like many online trads)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 04:15 AM
9

That’s what I’ve observed about radfems, they end up coming to conservatism regardless of what they say. Wokeness and tradshit are both really stupid in my opinion
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 02:37 AM
7

I was accused of sexual misconduct under Title IX for nothing I actually did, it was just a proxy for being socially stupid and all. I wouldn’t hurt a woman at all, I was just obsessed with having a girlfriend and all of those social experiences I desired and continue to desire, even just having a core group of friends or being “popular.” I thought all that would make everything better and ease all my struggles and give me the self esteem I’ve never really had, and while I realize the latter par…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 02:35 AM
3

It’s a difficult situation, and I’m barely on the spectrum, most people wouldn’t know I’m technically autistic. Like I want people to recognize that I do have challenges and to give me a chance, but not out of pity and that I am more than I seem on the outside
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 02:32 AM
6

I’m on the very very high end of the spectrum and it’s still even challenging for me. I used to go to proms in high school and formals in college by myself or with “friends” (they tended to ignore me or not make me feel special or whatever, I’m not even talking about romance or sex I just wanted attention). I never felt normal, didn’t have a group in much except for the few people I hung out with from high school (they all moved away or just have other stuff going on, which I understand), all of…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 02:28 AM
4

It’s really just anything social in general- I’m on the very high end of the autism spectrum and find it difficult to even make friends/meet people as a young guy. I don’t really have any connections from when it was way more accessible in high school and college and I still live at home so that makes it even more challenging. I feel I’ve missed out on so many life/social experiences many people that are young have and it just sucks. I also had this really strange Title IX case where I was found…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/01/23 02:20 AM
5

Well yes, but it needs to be centered on mens issues, it can’t be expected to just be the woke misandry that lots of psychologists and counselors espouse. Also this was one of the solutions presented in Richard Reeves’ book
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/01/23 04:58 PM
1

This can also apply to personality and physical traits, they won’t marry someone who doesn’t meet those often high expectations/desires
/r/MensRights24/01/23 01:22 AM
11

A lot of wokeshit today is just revenge fantasies, wanting to have what the oppressors have and doing that oppression to the former oppressors, it’s not about improving society or bringing people up
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/01/23 05:48 AM
8

That’s the problem with radical feminism and feminism in particular, it essentializes men as people who are inherently bad and all their problems are their own fault and they can’t struggle, and then they just say traditional masculinity is good because those guys don’t complain or have emotions and everything and shit like that
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/01/23 05:47 AM
3

I hate the APA for lots of reasons
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/01/23 03:32 AM
1

Let me talk about my Title IX case, which was total bullshit, and I wasn’t even high power. It’s also a target for weaker/less socially valuable men as well, as it was for me
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/01/23 03:30 AM
2

I think that type of mindset could happen with anyone, you don’t know trauma, but all I’ll say is that anyone who sucks up or acts super nice to everyone and is super friendly and all that may not be all that great inside or really that great of a person (from personal experience)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/01/23 06:13 AM
18

I feel similar but with more of the social life piece, including romantic stuff. I feel that whatever I do it’ll be misconstrued or misunderstood and people will think I’m weird
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/01/23 01:18 AM
3

I just think there’s a lot of mixed signals with everything in this realm, one is the obvious misandry that we all know and see, two is that there’s downsides to being more emotional/sensitive (especially in the romantic area), and three people don’t care about our issues and think if we have problems it’s of our own inherent nature/our own fault
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/01/23 09:04 PM
23

That’s basically the whole issue with feminism and radical feminism in particular, they’ll just blame men for being inherently bad and when men stand up or play to their alleged desires, they don’t find them interesting in a romantic way. Besides AOC is really fake and annoying anyway, her complaining about that kind of stuff to me is making mens desires and issues a bad thing overall
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/01/23 02:40 AM
11

I had differing opinions on the Andrew Callaghan thing because of my Title IX experience and while I didn’t explicitly state them, others were attacking other skeptics by calling them incels and rape apologists
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/01/23 02:37 AM
3

Thank you for posting these- people usually respond to me regarding these topics with like “don’t hurry, you still have time” or “there’s someone for everyone.” And then there’s the radfem responses which are harsh, such as “you have trouble with sex and romance and dating, you must be an incel beta male who is too sensitive or addicted to porn.” I feel I’ve missed out on so much in the social world so far in my life including romance, dating, and sex and I want those experiences so badly, other…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/01/23 04:24 AM
2

I was on another page and some shitlibs/radlibs said that if you didn’t believe that the allegations against Andrew Callaghan were true you must be an incel or a rape apologist
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/01/23 04:19 AM
5

The responses noted in here are basically every response I’ve gotten or seen from radfems- men must be inherently bad/wrong/predatory, intent doesn’t matter, it’s all your own fault and you must be a terrible person if you can’t make friends or have a romantic relationship/sex etc.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/01/23 04:04 AM
2

Libfems can be okay, radfems are all like that regardless. Their response to men struggling with romantic and sexual issues is “it’s so easy for us women/lesbians, those must be porn-addicted weak complaining beta males” and other hateful shit
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/01/23 04:24 AM
7

Radfems are conservatives, regardless if they say they’re also communist or Marxist or socialist- being that hateful toward men and thinking they’ll be assaulted/raped/hurt if they just interact with men. I’m progressive in that regard, like I think it would be great if more women initiated sexual and romantic stuff for example
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/01/23 04:19 AM
3

And the good men to them are just saps/pushovers really
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/01/23 04:18 AM
5

Just got reamed on Stupidpol by a few of the radfems for talking about how Title IX isn’t great at colleges and saying that intent is greater than impact and that men who struggle with romantic relationships and socializing deserve support and understanding
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/01/23 03:59 AM
2

I was more talking about how it manifested itself in actuality, like how normal women acted in the 70’s, not the stupid radical theorists
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates10/01/23 07:48 PM
3

People think complaining about technology makes you a Luddite or an old head or a boomer but I think that’s a big thing, I still live in a suburban development and we used to do stuff when we were younger outside, now I barely see kids anymore
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates10/01/23 02:33 AM
4

It always comes down to women blaming men for continuing the patriarchy and just telling them to fix themselves instead of helping and being supportive
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/01/23 06:00 PM
3

If they were more focused on second wave stuff, like women can do the same things as men, then maybe, like I’ve always wanted women to initiate romantic stuff but that never happens
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/01/23 05:56 PM
5

What should I have done? Lied? Avoided the question? What should I have said?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/01/23 05:54 PM
3

I tend to question the underlying motivation behind all the sexual misconduct stuff, not talking about real assault/rape but just many of the Title IX stories. Many advocacy groups promote the reform of procedures (which is legitimate and good), but that likely wouldn’t have helped me all that much. My case was basically a proxy for issues I had and how those personal issues played out and I think the school didn’t want to deal with me anymore, but you can’t suspend/expel someone for stuff like …
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/01/23 05:17 AM

It’s just dumb on both sides, there’s room for both aspects but you shouldn’t play too hard for either. We’re all just people capable of everything in the human experience/capability
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/23 07:50 PM
11

It’s not just the body stuff too, it’s the emotional, the social, the everything that men get shamed for
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/23 07:20 PM
1

Legit thought this was a pro-sex work thing lol but it’s not at all, I completely empathize with your ideas though. We need to fix it all so we don’t have to rely on stuff like that and OnlyFans that is not “real” and is exploitative (sorry if that sounds too feminist)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/23 07:19 PM
5

Even at higher levels too, just look at some of the wacky Title IX cases there are out there. And I know that stuff firsthand because of my own case and how it was a proxy for stupid things I did (non-sexual) because I needed help with the social piece and didn’t understand it at all. I was really hitting the social aspects. I like to use the treatment of people on the spectrum and sex differences as a great example: woman/girl with autism- she’s quirky, can still fit in and have social experien…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/23 07:16 AM

Personal story but I just was talking to someone on a dating app, thought we had a connection and a date planned, then she asked if I had been in a relationship ever and I said no and then if I’d ever had sex which I said no and then she just ended it all because she thought that was too much for here. It made me feel even worse than I do when it comes to my lack of experience and self esteem
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/23 07:11 AM
5

And it’s not just in the academic aspects either, based on personal experience
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/23 07:09 AM

It’s odd that the more conservative and more liberal left both provide different sides of the same coin when it comes to mens issues- basically some form of self improvement (therapy and all that for the liberal side, working out/repressing sexuality/being stoic for the conservative side)

Don’t forget how men of those other identities are often screwed even worse in society, and I know that personally
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/01/23 10:57 PM

On this end, you have to look at the surveys that say 15% of young men do not have one single friend and the many analyses of dating apps- you know the 10% of guys who get 90% of the likes/attention. Socializing and romance have been destructed, almost totally for guys, under neoliberal capitalism and it sucks that no one wants to do anything about it

This is basically all of the undergirding of campus Title IX stuff, like women should be free and all but then if they make a bad decision or a regrettable decision when it comes to relationships and sex its always the supposed perpetrators fault. They never realize how an accuser could have ulterior motives or issues of their own or that they do have some responsibility and choices. (I’m not talking about full on rape) I know some of this from my own experience and what I’ve heard about other T…

So you identify as an attack helicopter? Lol
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/01/23 09:18 PM

That to me is one of the biggest things I’ve observed with people who are woke, especially when it comes to sex/gender- they just had a horrible experience with a significant other or experienced trauma/abuse from a male. Their feelings are valid but hate is not the way to heal
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/01/23 09:17 PM
1

I mean I’m more “conservative” on the gender side of things but I still think the radfem opposition to all of those issues is a wrong way to go about it, I’m more skeptical because I genuinely care about people and have had similar challenges to the trans people I’ve known and seen, not out of hate like the radfems
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/12/22 03:26 AM

Different school, but the sentiment is the same
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/12/22 12:52 AM

Good work- my own title IX case was a proxy for stuff for which I needed support and understanding and actual education/help but I didn’t even do what I supposedly did sexually, but they couldn’t prove or disprove it. I think they just thought I was an overall problem and I’m pretty sure the office/staff/faculty egged on my accuser
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/12/22 08:31 PM

Lots of outwardly misandristic radfems are lesbians so there’s that, I’m not sure about other stuff
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/12/22 08:29 PM

Exercise and try to keep busy at any way, I’m in the same boat as you and I suck at doing what I have to say as advice but it’s what others have told me. Also try to be more outgoing if you are comfortable with meeting new people and all of that. You can also try therapy and read some self-help books, especially ones about self esteem and confidence like I’ve tried (though again I suck at applying it all)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/12/22 01:58 AM

I think that’s the undergirding of all the radfem skepticism and misandry I hear from them
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/12/22 05:11 AM
7

No I wasn’t poking fun at you just at the feminists who think like that/have little sympathy
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/12/22 05:10 AM

They only think men are emotional/cry over things that come out of misogyny and which don’t deserve sympathy, understanding, or support
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/12/22 04:18 AM

It’s mainly the internal stuff that people can’t say and only we can truly change by ourselves, it sounds depressing but I guess that’s just the way it is
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/12/22 04:16 AM
26

Yeah that’s basically the default radfem response that I’ve observed- the only person that can change yourself is you but hate just creates an endless cycle of more and more hate. I know no one can really do anything to improve my weaknesses and overcome my challenges but I’d like more understanding and support, especially since a lot of it is with socializing and romance, two things I’d like to experience more and feel I have missed out on so much
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/12/22 04:12 AM
6

I do that and I hate the apps because I don’t tend to get many matches and the ones I do get aren’t great, I’m not looking for models or celebrities to date, I just don’t want someone too feminist/woke or someone that’s disabled or ugly. Especially someone who’s too much like me personality wise, I need an opposite
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 09:30 PM
5

But I do have a desire for sex and intimacy and all of that, I haven’t been able to experience that because of my personal issues and lack of understanding. And personal change is extremely difficult but still possible, I’m not necessarily against the idea of becoming more traditionally masculine but I think I’ll still always be sensitive
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 09:24 PM
29

Lots of what you discussed about the demographics of incels really hit home for me, I would consider myself to be on the left and liberal, but I’m on the spectrum, have trouble socializing/making friends, am very sensitive, and have anxiety and depression. I just want support and kindness and understanding that I’m not trying to be creepy it’s just very difficult for me because I never really understood socializing until very recently and I didn’t have those experiences growing up. I want those …
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 09:07 PM
16

I have teetered on the brink of inceldom for how many years ever since my Title IX case, because I’ve realized most women subconsciously want this confident masculine guy and I don’t think I’ll ever be that, I’m on the spectrum, have trouble socializing, have anxiety and depression, and am very sensitive. I know romance and sex shouldn’t be based on sympathy/pity, let alone general socializing, but I’d like that understanding
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 09:03 PM

Or male neurodiversity (unless you’re stereotypically autistic and have little social desires/understanding or you’re trans)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 09:00 PM
27

Recognizing the issues guys have with socializing/romance/dating/sex is not a sign that you are a secret misogynist and guys (like me) who face those challenges need support and love, because everyone desires intimacy and deeper connection. We’re not inherently bad for having desires. And many of us have legitimate issues, whether it be mental health conditions or autism, that make socializing more difficult overall and we want to feel “normal.” We often have poor self-esteem and little to no co…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 08:56 PM

I know, it doesn’t make any sense at all. They have no sympathy for men who struggle with romance and dating, they think if you complain then it’s all your own fault and you’re probably a “nice guy” or a “male feminist” which is code for “covert misogynist”
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 08:52 PM
1

I never really said I was in the friend zone. And I don’t think that’s necessarily bad, but not all men are comfortable or confident enough to act like that. And I understand that learning about other Title IX cases
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 08:50 PM
4

All that’s exactly why I disdain trads on the left or right, not all men are naturally super masculine and lots of sensitive men (like myself) have lots of issues with socializing and making friends and it’s not weird to be that way but it’s hard, and they make it seem the only way to improve is to be this trad guy who is kinda whipped and is sexually repressed and lacks intimacy
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:32 AM
7

And that earning sex is weirdly doing all of this traditionally masculine stuff while repressing most if not all sexual urges
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:29 AM
3

I was always stupid socially, and my title IX case experience reinforced all that negative stuff
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:28 AM
10

Ironically I’ve seen radfems say that men who don’t get dates are misogynistic and betas and whatever whereas traditionally masculine guys are good because they’re less pushy with sex and respectful of boundaries and stuff. Oh the irony
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:26 AM

💯, been thinking about this stuff a lot recently and your reading of it all is great
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:24 AM

All those points are too true, I would add that we should assume women are strong and responsible and have agency but then if we do something wrong (even if we don’t intend to do it), then they have no responsibility or agency at all
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:22 AM
3

I always wanted that aspect of feminism and empowered women to be true, for them to initiate with me. I know they’re not biologically driven to do that, but I wish they did. I don’t want to have to do all that stuff, especially since I don’t have great confidence or self esteem
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:20 AM
9

Why I can’t stand radfems, they’ll just say to stop watching porn and work out and all this stuff in a passive aggressive manner, and ironically they say they hate trad masculinity but the cure for incels and other guys with social troubles is to just do all this trad/conservative man stuff. Like one I saw said “I’m a lesbian and have no problem getting intimacy from a woman, but then I’m not a beta male with a porn addiction.” It was one of the worst things I ever read
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:17 AM
5

This was basically the undergirding of my Title IX case, I was socially clueless and I was so fixated on having a girlfriend because all these other guys I knew had them in high school and I figured I had to put no effort into it and because of that I didn’t do anything and was perceived as creepy
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/12/22 04:14 AM
1

This is something odd I’ve noticed about radfems in particular, they say they hate patriarchy and shit but have no sympathy for incels or guys with social troubles and instead they’re just like basically do it yourself and strangely do all this stuff associated with traditional masculinity

My title IX case in a nutshell
/r/MensRights21/11/22 06:43 AM

This was a big reason why I got into my title IX fiasco, it was a proxy for my supposed acting like a creep and a potential shooter or whatever. I didn’t understand socializing and I’m still not very good at it. I didn’t even do anything sexually and am fully sure of that, I just wanted to fit in and make friends and have the social experiences I thought I missed out on, even if it really isn’t the way to self acceptance. I’ve tried to explain my issues and challenges but like other comments hav…

Sorry for not responding earlier, but I realize the non-sexual stuff I did was wrong. But at least I could have had some level of empathy- I was planning on transferring anyway so as long as they let me go without having anything on my transcript would’ve been fine
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/11/22 05:40 AM

I’ve seen that line of thought from radfems, like all men are responsible for everything and that women are always in danger from men, and I hate it
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/11/22 05:34 AM
3

I’d add to your question stuff about targeting men who aren’t as socially skilled/confident
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/11/22 05:32 AM
4

Don’t forget all the other things from that survey which began to be used in Title IX, like regretting it way after, having ulterior motives like thinking the guy is weird (in my own case), among others
/r/MensRights18/11/22 05:31 AM
2

I saw something on Facebook where a gay guy said “I’m attracted to men, but I don’t necessarily like them,” and girls agreed to it but if a guy said the opposite they’d be castigated
/r/MensRights08/11/22 10:22 PM

I can really relate to the statistics and phenomena in the social and masking part- I struggle with socializing and I just want to fit in and be “normal,” and I want all of those things but just can’t seem to get them
/r/MensRights08/11/22 10:20 PM

This might take a while, but I have time to pass so I can write it now. I went to a high-end college after high school, and I had a lot of problems during HS and they continued through college. I had no social life, didn’t do anything much in terms of activities, no social experiences, poor self-esteem, anxiety/depression, you name it. I am on the very high end of the spectrum too, but I never accepted it then. So I got to college, and on top of my issues, my grandmother only had a few more mont…

It’s similar for me but with the gender ideology stuff along with Title IX- I think men who struggle with their gender need legitimate help not just “here you’re trans go transition”
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/11/22 06:50 PM
5

He was also very skeptical of MeToo, as well as some of the gender stuff. He’s honestly the closest notable person to myself politically. Also I tried to get Reeves’ book last night but they were out of it because I want to read it, as well as Nina Power’s What do Men Want? Neither of the books are hateful from what I’ve heard toward anyone and are actually constructive
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/11/22 06:48 PM

Not super related but the people I’ve seen who are most into wokeshit also seem to be those who hate people and are super vindictive
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/11/22 07:39 PM
12

I like to bring up my Title IX case because it defies all logic and situations- mine wasn’t a false accusation exactly but it was a proxy for other things I did do not of a sexual nature (but I didn’t mean to do, as I struggle with socializing due to having autism and anxiety). I bring more of a call for understanding for those who struggle with different things and a level of empathy toward me and others. I can explain it further if this is still confusing
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/11/22 07:38 PM
2

I understand all that, but like I said I’m only in agreement with them on gender issues- like how dysphoria should be treated with therapy like a normal mental condition instead of affirmation. But even on that it’s because they think men identify as women to rape them. I get exposed to the other stuff- strange bedfellows I suppose
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/11/22 07:31 PM
3

I’m really kinda ambivalent about sex work in general, I just have seen arguments about how buying consent is not a good replacement for actual consent at all. But those were often radfem arguments- I only see them because I very much agree with them on gender (though for much different reasons than them). I do think society still isn’t sex positive enough either, that’s something I learned from my title IX case (where I didn’t do anything but I just don’t like prudes I guess)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/11/22 05:11 PM
7

And lots of these solutions just revolve around legal sex work, I’m ambivalent about that but that’s not really the way I’d want to have sex and it’s pretty exploitative. To me it’s more about the general view of sex, both sides tend to have puritanical views on certain things about sex, but we should all be more open about sex (not talking about the crazy stuff)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/10/22 07:27 AM

The first one really hit home- I was Title IX’d for total BS, it’s really long and complicated but if any of you would want to hear I’m there. But it’s really an intersection of many topics discussed on here. And I know I didn’t do anything I was accused of, it was basically a proxy for other stuff

I have a different experience than you being on the spectrum, but it was still challenging. School always came easy to me so I never knew I had to try with anything. My brother has more severe autism than I do and I never wanted to be thrown into that pile. I was always very aloof and uncomfortable/asocial, with low self esteem. I didn’t know I had to try to make friends and be an active player in my life. Eventually I went to college, after high school totally sucked, and I ended up getting Tit…
