This is what I was referring to. If a host buys meat with the direct intention of feeding you, then the animal had been killed so that the meat could be given to you. 4	Vegan MGTOW? That's not really Buddhist though. Buddhists refuse all meat from animals that were killed for them. Even if a host buys the meat for you, that animal was still killed for you. First, that would be eliminating suffering, not minimizing it. Second, that just isn't possible for the vast majority of people. Just because we can't be perfect, that's no reason to try at all. Also, cats are obligate carnivores, but under the care of humans they don't have to be. If a vegan cat food is sold in Europe, it has to meet regulations.
