OP's article states that 'Luckily the women and children were inside' inferring to the fact that men should protect women and children. I originally stated that men should be protecting women because they're naturally 'better' at it, for lack of a better word. For millennia it has been man's "inherent" responsibility, whether you're religious or not. Why not "strong people should protect weaker people" for a slightly better standard, or even better, don't expect that people have any responsibility to defend people they do not choose to protect. Why should all men be required to risk their lives defending all women? First, my argument is a general standard not extreme cases, so your point does not stand. No matter what current "gender theory" crap says about it, Males have always been on average stronger, faster, and more physically adept for fighting and protection, so there's nature for ya.
