midface ratio and eye separation ratio are two of the most important facial bone ratios but are unfortunately harder to fix

because they won't be ... highly desirable by definition a highly desirable item is desired more than a 'desirable' item, because of the meaning of the word 'highly'

the other is cosmetic and done to attract others. Why do you think so? I don't doubt there are some people who are perfectly mentally satisfied with their own looks but want to look better to "attract others" (seems like a contradiction to me personally), but I do not believe it is a majority. There are plenty of posts from uglier men that say that looking in the mirror is physically painful so it would stand to reason that successful looksmaxxing will improve their mental health

if most men looked like chads and had the same ability to get sex then yes, the men who choose to have a lot of sex would be called used cars

but then both women and men should have more partners the hotter they are. However, according to the other poster, this relationship does not hold for the hottest women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 03:35 PM

This seems reasonable and indeed seems to be the case for men but why do women not comform to your prediction? Why do the hottest women not pull casual, pull till they find a special [male]?

GNC men can be attractive if he starts with near optimal bone structure, like those of a supermodel. Unfortunately most men are not blessed with such conditions, at least not without surgeries. If a random average or somewhat below average dude with too long a midface or too small a chin tries to be 'GNC' he would just be a laughing stock

If you find a hot girl that’s really into you, you lock her down, LTR and commit to her. but why wouldn't a woman want to do the same to a hot male that she manages to catch? The same logic should apply both ways, but to quote Arrowdodgingace, Men’s sexual partners went up as they gained physical attractiveness

What men seem to think is the ultimate man certainly some women agree with but most women aren’t with a Henry cavill. This would only make sense if most men look equally as good as Cavill. As much as we hope so this is unfortunately not the case. Most people aren't living in luxury penthouses and enjoying weekends on huge yachts but you would be silly to think that this means penthouses and yachts are generally undesirable. unironically yes. to be a successful bully (not a random violent kid who tries to fight someone and get bullied in return) you have to be able to use social skills to attract a group of people to your 'cause' and gain their approval. Basically you have to be socially savvy, confident, good at "manipulation" and low inhibition to be a bully, all of which logically lead to greater sexual success Last but not least you probably have to be taller and stronger if you want to physically bully someone …

Because they are part of the outgroup that these actions disadvantage. Maybe it's a little bit hypocritical but I view it as simple rationality if they magically become the ingroup and start doing these actions

how is it hypocrisy? in both scenarios they seek to maximize benefit to themselves, just that they have to use different methods to do so under different conditions Like if you are a UK citizen you have to take advantage of British companies and laws to benefit yourself, but after you move to the US you have to use American companies and laws to benefit yourself

Most people are average looking or can easily become average looking. most women* ftfy And idk why you’re bringing up weird fetishes? I’m saying an average looking person can cater to a certain aesthetic or subculture etc., and as a result become really appealing to certain people. Nobody needs to be universally appealing. Because other than through the coombrain of some men I just cannot see how any other "aesthetic" can significantly rescue lack of attractiveness.

Most people don’t have perfect supermodel tier faces though. yeah and the further you go from the optimal ratios the less attractive you get. I don't see how anything else can truly rescue this deficiency Normal looking people can be perceived as really hot to a smaller group if they fit into a certain niche/fantasy. Yeah if a dude is really into a weird fetish he will be forced to pretend the tiny minority of women tolerating that weird fetish is attractive. I can't really see how this could ap…

If a guy could have fixed his looks, he would’ve already done it. that's exactly what's happening. plastic surgery is increasingly popular amongst men. Interest in all plastic surgery procedures in men increased since 2004 except for breast reduction. Most notably, jawline filler, Botox, microneedling, lip filler, chemical peel, CoolSculpting, and butt lift had the largest trend increases. In the last decade, all procedures showed a significant increase in interest. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/…

Then I believe we are in agreement that my idea of mandatory plastic surgery for most males can systematically rectify the problem of them not being desired by women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 09:56 AM
2

State issued gfs are fundamentally a consent problem because the women are forced to become gfs to the (undesirable) men. Mandatory plastic surgery does not involve a woman being unconsensually forced to have relationship with the men. As for how this could be funded, the wages of the men could be garnished, or some other methods of obtaining funding.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 09:45 AM

not being desired by women is not something that can be systematically rectified hypothetically, compulsory plastic surgery on any adult male that isn't supermodel tier in appearance could solve this issue. (I know that this isn't really going to happen anytime soon in any country on earth but it isn't entirely impossible and would solve the problem)

averageness is a key factor. So called unattractive facial ratios are often ratios that are out of an optimum- eyes set too close or far from each other, a midface that is too short or too long. An average face has the optimal ratios and thus is attractive. Also the first paper had mathematical equations for calculating optimal ratios of many different facial feature ratios, please make sure you have noticed them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 11:31 AM

Yeah, facial bone structure is (far) more important than how much muscle you have and 'there is no gym for your face'. No matter how muscular you are if you have an ugly face people will see your face and go ew, but a scrawny/unfit guy (within reasonable limits) with a good looking face is still hot. There was a tall guy who used to attend the same course as me who would have looked hot except for his absolutely fucked face (way too long midface and poor jaw shape)

Sexual attraction is based on feelings- both men and women do that, and there is nothing wrong with that- its biological nature almost as fundamental as breathing air and trying to change it is pointless. Why does this confuse or anger men? It’s illogical for them to continue to act confused about this. because changing the physical factors that control attractiveness is often difficult and expensive, so the men get mad because they feel 'unfair' that the more attractive men don't have to go through the ordeal of undergoing procedures to change their physical features. Some of them will keep 'malding' while others will nut up and shut up and start saving up for the procedures required.

But you claimed that changing behavior doesn't work in your OP. deliberately being aloof and allusive, cocky and funny, keeping contact to a minimum and essentially "acting" like a man with lots of options to play with a girls head and keep her on edge. If you do cocky and funny, leave her wanting more, groom and work out, text her sparingly and act like you're high value and always busy, it's absolutely ineffective in comparison to the guy she simply just WANTS. What else is left then?

I think the general idea when rating looks is the principle of 'all other things held equal' (ceteris paribus). Of course posture, clothing etc. matters, but they fluctuate day to day and can be (relatively) easily and quickly changed. The (unspoken) idea is that given the same degree of clothing, posture etc. quality, which person is more attractive.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, …

So why focus only on "feminists" if you know that your own demographic is also doing the same thing? fyi "internalized" misogyny is a thing that can be experienced by women, so it makes sense that men can also express "internalized" misandry Misogyny is the hatred of, contempt for, or prejudice against women or girls. Women who experience internalized misogyny may express it through minimizing the value of women, mistrusting women, and showing gender bias in favor of men. https://en.wikipedia.or…

it's not being shallow. everyone has an innate biological urge to like aesthetically pleasing faces and dislike the opposite, it's hardcoded into our brains as much as our urge to drink water and eat food is. you may think you or someone else look ugly but not know why, but if you know more about facial ratios you'd be able to determine the exact reason and be able to know how exactly to fix it. for example, one important issue is the eye separation ratio or the ratio between the interpupillary …

in addition I also would recommend reading up on the different bone structures of the face and their ideal ratios. you may think you or someone else look ugly but not know why, but if you know more about facial ratios you'd be able to determine the exact reason and be able to know how exactly to fix it. for example, one important issue is the eye separation ratio or the ratio between the interpupillary distance and facial width. values of this ratio significantly below 0.56 will result in a sign…

id say you're nitpicking semantics. research have shown that the most average faces are the most attractive [1], and therefore unattractiveness is most likely unacceptable deviations from the baseline, so it makes sense that if these deviations are surgically corrected you would become closer to the baseline and thus more attractive https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15376799/

warning: autistic undergrad mol bio infodump Have you ever heard of sickle cell disease (SCD)? It is a genetic disorder that makes people produce a messed up form of hemoglobin that basically clumps up into long stringy masses inside their red blood cells, so their red blood cells turn into long slender "sickles" that jam up their capillaries and cause all sorts of problems. Now you may ask, this sounds real bad so why are there so many people with SCD today? Well it turns out that people who ar…

don't you realize many facial bone structures and ratios have an optimum and those that have structure and ratios that are near the optimum are conventionally attractive or more colloquially "chads"? e.g. the eye separation ratio, defined as the ratio between interpupillary distance and bizygomatic width. the optimum is around 0.45-0.46 with those out of this range being noticeably unattractive/ not a "chad"

it seems that they have their version of the 80/20 trope lol In summary: the median number of lifetime sexual partners for homosexuals fell between 10 and 22 sexual partners when accounting for all three survey-studies. Approximately 50% of gay men had just 0 or 1 sexual partner per year across all three studies. A minority of gay men had most of the sex. if you look at one of the included graphs they may have it even worse at something like 5/95 https://medium.com/@neuropsychology/gay-promiscui…

okay so "feminists" are not a "fantastic ally for working on men's issues "" including, "actual men's issues like mental health and education" and won't help males on that front ("mental health and education"). correct?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:53 PM

at least in the west, more women go to high education than men. you can say this is because men are simply inferior intellectually, or because of the existence of programs and scholarships that only help women, but I hardly can see how "feminism" helps "male education" also "mental health services" helps no one but making the therapists richer lmfao

autogynephiles (AGP) usually are pornsick men who are sexually attracted to the idea of being a women and sometime by extension someone else seeing them as a women and being attracted to him (AGP meta attraction) OP seems to be acting the same by dressing "herself" up to be attractive and sexy to "herself" so "she" seems to be an autogynephile. this is obviously a very simplified version of Dr Ray Blanchard's theories on autogynephilia tho

🤓actually🤓 You can apply water to water though, such as when you pour water into a cup already with some water. As I said, even without the act of pouring, since water molecules constantly diffuse in and out of any body of water, water is in actuality being added to any body of water in existence, so water is wet.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/24 05:08 AM

a wet object is defined if water is applied to it and clings to it. 2. water, if added to another body of water, will cling to and mix with it. this has happened to all bodies of water in existence because water molecules constantly diffuse in and out of their surfaces therefore, water is wet. QED

Nature doesn't care if you think valuing traditional families and enforced monogamy is "oppressing", you will get replaced by a society that values those things eventually. yeah basically if you're already hot then acting the "dark triad" meme makes you even more attractive and "mysterious" while if you're a hot but a pushover you'd still be alright while if an ugly guy just acts normally he'd just be seen as harmless while if he tries to dark triad larp he'll be seen as actively repulsive and dangerous

It's not. For the male with the huge eye catching plumage to survive he must be smarter and faster to be able to lug around all the feathers and still be able to catch enough food and evade predators so it makes sense for him to be superior genetically

evolution is entirely about reproductive success not life expectancy. the genotype that allows someone to have a hundred kids and then immediately self destruct is evolutionarily favoured over the genotype that allows someone to live to 120 years old but only has one kid

yes. (very anecdotally with 0 statistical backing) I've noticed that uglier or shorter people are more likely to wear masks on crowded public transport which seems to suggest they have weaker immune systems and the ugly manlet labmate gets sick more often than the hot taller labmate

its perfectly rational. they would support OF because it simply gives them extra money or other opportunities, while they reject males who pay for OF because they are either ugly, have a terrible personality (desperation) or both
