He's just trying to project his white knighting on to somebody so he can externalize his feels for this girl with someone who wont outright reject him. 1	Dress for success. I agree with you very much. I will also say, at least from my own experience, that the difference in the way people act around you extends beyond just women. I just turned 30. One of the many things I've decided to work on was my appearance. My entire 20s, was me pretty much just wearing cowboy boots and T-shirts. It was fine, but a bit man-childish. I still did ok.
