The justice system is designed to protect the interests of rich from the actions of the poor.

If she wasn't trying to bamboozle him, she should have said, "Wanna buy me dinner?" Then at least he would know what she was expecting.

Welcome to our modern thought process. "If enough people believe something is right or wrong; then the verdicts of those who we hire or elect to decide what is right or wrong, are irrelevant." That's how we ended up with "Fake News" being an actual thing.

No worries, Fox & Friends will feed the cult and their leader new talking points tomorrow morning.

Agreed. And you can attribute them both the minions of one man... Edit: *attribute their current popularity

It's not about reasoning with them. It's about you knowing when to stop.

I think she is a retired judge. They "farm" actual small claims court cases for possible TV material. The packet they sent to me said, things like, "You must be willing to dismiss your current court case, and any financial awards will be determined through your appearance fee..." So, if they give each party $5000 just to appear, and you win $3000 in her judgement, you would get $8K and they would get $2K.

I once sued the landlord of my brother-in-law (I'm his beneficiary, he's on SSDI) in small claims court, and received a letter from the Judge Judy people to appear on the show. I filled it out and returned it, but nothing happened. We went to local (SoCal) regular SCC and won.

A bartender can cut someone off for more reasons than being drunk. However to hold a bartender responsible for a patron, he/she would really need to over-serve them. Like blatantly. A bartender can't be expected to tell a 0.07 from a 0.09 BAC, but they shouldn't be sliding shots to someone who already puked and can barely sit up in their chair.

There's a VAST difference between, "too drunk" and "shouldn't be driving".

But who would pay the bills while the woman is at home with the baby? Or will they just also mandate 24 hour nurseries at the workplace?

Falsely accusing someone of a crime is not a "mistake" of youth. Scratching your name into a wall on the Colosseum is a youthful mistake.

This is what happens when you have stupid people who fully believe that they are smart. Partying with a bunch of other losers, and someone just slightly smarter than they are, mentions this archaic "Free Inhabitants" thing, and their eyes light up like someone just showed them how to time travel. "I can do that? COOL!"

This looks like the type of post that a mom would make regarding a badly behaving child. Poor guy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
