I agree. I think it has evolved past the reference to "those belief systems" to include a person who says anything even remotely against women. And as such, it starts to lose it's meaning entirely. Negative names rise to more common use, become blunted, and are ultimately replaced by something even more sharp. Now we have incel, man-child and weaponized incompetence because they are sharper and more insulting.

The future of romantic relationships is AI companions, combined with sex toys. More for men than women perhaps. We need about 5 more years of development to perfect the process, although it will be close by next year. Mating with a human..... yuck!

"I don’t think they’re meaning it that way" That's correct. " to say your “celibacy” is involuntary kinda suggests that if you were allowed to, you’d be fucking people." It "kinda suggests that" to a feminist. I see the word incel being used by women about men for which they don't know whether they are celibate or not, or even whether they are married. The name calling went from sexist to misogynist, to incel. I think they use incel bc that is more insulting as it speaks to his manhood.

Yeah, that's true. To many men, a woman's value is intimacy and bearing children. Other than that, he'd prefer to be alone or with another dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 04:15 AM

Yeah, I guess that's true. But not just feminists, pretty much most wives (in the US) say that. It seems like there is a growing number of men that are not like that these days. These are the men that don't want to get married, or if they do, have less interest in sex and more interest in things like gaming. We're now seeing a growing number of women that are complaining about lack of intimacy.

Yeah, good points, I'm sure that has a lot to do with it also. I guess that's what I meant by feeling vulnerable and disposable, but your description is much better. I'm laughing bc that is what I used to tell my daughter. I never said disgusting but I told her that is what boys want about a thousand times. I should ask her now (she's in her 20's) what affect that had on her.

"you can masturbate without porn." Yes, ofc that's true. But when I hear women complain about it, they are usually linked. They say things like "..... getting off to these women.." Or, "... thinking about her when he's jerking off." Or, "... why doesn't he jerk off to pics of me instead" But I agree, some say they don't mind him jerking off as long as he is only using his imagination. Ofc, his imagination is usually born from looking at porn or thinking about that coworker, so what's the diff?

So women are raised to believe male sexuality is bad bc men believe women are only good for sex? That could be true, and it would explain why hetero monogamous relationships are disappearing. Also, it would explain why marriages with a poor sex life are doomed.

"... they have been raised to believe male sexuality is inherently bad or misguided. Most of the things men will find sexy will be seen as base and dirty." Perhaps that's true, but the question is by whom and why are they raised to believe that. The answer is by women, who associate male sexuality with infidelity, and fear they cannot compete with those things men find sexy. Women have always felt vulnerable, and disposable, and that leads to insecurity. That's why they hate their partner going …

"... she doesn't want him to have any outlet for sexual satisfaction that doesn't involve her. " For women in a committed relationship, this is true with the majority, but ofc not all. We see it every day, and reddit is filled to the brim with women complaining about their partner's porn use. I don't recall ever seeing a post from a man complaining about his wife's porn use. But like most other things, the exceptions are many. BTW, I think AI and male sex toys will have a major impact on relatio…

Women have a lot more filters and boxes to check than men do, and see a whole lot more things as red flags than men do. As a result, the possibility of even being compatible for a date is now quite small.

Well, if women won't date the tall, very attractive guys, then I guess nobody is dating anybody. But then why are all these women on TikTok complaining that they did the guy and then got ghosted?

It's not a winner for you, but it is for them if that is what they want. And there seems to be plenty of women that are willing to play the game, even if some of them are hopeful of a different outcome. ONS and short term seems to be a significant and growing objective for the young these days, and dating apps is playing to that desire.

It seems to work well for tall, very attractive guys that want a one-and-done, or maybe a short term situationship. They seem to be the winners of the dating app scene.

If it is true, that's good for women, they have wanted this for a long time, and perhaps it will have an impact on female insecurity in the long run. I never trust anything The Guardian puts out. Also, who cares who gets lead roles on the big screen? This is irrelevant to men's rights.

College enrollment will get easier bc the immigrants coming into the country do not apply for college, for the most part. Housing should loosen up after the boomers die off and the GenZ moves into the house buying age. But the rest is questionable depending on what happens with immigration. The revised numbers, including all immigrants, shows that the US population has grown during the Biden years. And AI, robotics, autonomic operations, and WFH (outside the US?) is just in the embryonic stage o…

Nope, no evidence. I'm sure that fat women can be happy and I know some, even many, that are. And I hope that they all are. There's nothing wrong with being happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 08:32 AM

Yes, ofc, but both things can be true, meaning the movement helps diminish unhealthy behaviors in those that are obese, and also enable obesity. The ideal is to have fat positivity alongside movements to promote healthy body (and mind) positivity.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 05:35 AM

That depends on whether you define attraction as willing or desiring to look at pictures, esp. when those pictures expose certain parts of the anatomy, or whether they are attracted to fat women irl. Those are very different things.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 05:00 AM

"The point of fat positivity isn't to encourage women to be fat..." Ofc, that's not the point, and the actual point is a good faith effort, as you indicate. Some question whether it has an unintended consequence of enabling the current growth in obesity, esp. among the young.

I'm not familiar with the study or OKCupid, so I can't reply. I have reviewed a lot of studies for my profession (not dating), and know that the "devil is in the details." I did hear once that less attractive men have a habit of swiping almost everyone and then making a decision when the few women swiped back on them. Whereas women were more thoughtful. But I could be way off. There is a lot of talk about hypergamy in the apps. Like 80% of women swiping on 20% of men. But I have to admit, I'm wa…

I think some confusion comes in on the physical vs. mental attractiveness. Or esthetics, such as tats, nose rings, blue hair, etc. And then there is the political attitudes, one way or the other. Or women that come off prudish vs. slutty. And the weight keeps going up. Heavy makeup, and so on. Underneath, most of these women are attractive, or cute, but there are so many ways now for a woman to seem unattractive (to any given man). So, the question is are they pretty, or would you like to have s…

Women in that age group are the most physically attractive, and I think that is the primary factor for most men, when looking to date or simply to look at. There are some men that are also attracted to their innocence and youthful, sexy spirit, which can be magnetic. Yet, there are also some dudes that enjoy the power dynamic of an age difference. "... absolutely nothing.. " is disingenuous, as are the accusations that it must be the case.

"... women are choosing to stay single in ever increasing numbers. Men are making themselves sexually irrelevant." That's true for vice versa. Hetero relationships are going away, men feel it more in their 20's and women more in their 30's. Women enjoy it more, at least for a decade or so, bc they can go out and get banged whenever they want to. But it's the same in the end.

We're not really talking (in this thread) about their communities, unless you are defining their community as a group of other men. And I'm not talking about validation, which is different from uplifting each other. In fact, you're supporting my argument. I never said women are wrong for uplifting other women. Women should uplift each other, and as extremely social beings, they rely heavily on it. They form very highly developed groups at a very young age, and rely on support throughout their lives. The uplifting from other women is critical. I'm just saying that men are less dependent on it. Our groups are more competitive than supportive, and we prefer to be more stoic than social. We are more naturally confident, adventurous, and aggressive. I…

And some of the ones that are have become single moms and situationally unattractive. Many of those women that are attractive will match with the very attractive men. Yep, so true. It's happened down thru history. Many of the young men who went west in the 19th century did so for the same reason. And the dudes who joined the pirate ships. And so on.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 08:00 PM

Fair enough. I think the choice issue is a good one. I think the lack of choice for a human relationship, or one could say loneliness, will be a driver for choosing to try AI. And social media, dating apps, porn, and manosphere in combination really forms an algorithm also. But I get what you're saying. We'll see where it goes.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 06:16 PM

Progressive? I wouldn't think so. I believe it is the genetic instinct to be part of the pack, mostly for protection, combined with the situation they were born into (lacking family structure, poor neighborhood, etc.). Perhaps some would call that progressive, idk.

There are no 12 yo boys saying your body my choice, or extremely rare. In fact, it rare to hear adult males saying that. Every time I ask for examples, I get Nick Fuentes, or some group of frat boys who are doing it to get clicks. If a 12 yo is saying anything like that, it's bc his older brothers or gang members were treated poorly by someone and/or they have bad parenting, usually from a single parent. Ofc, at this point in our development, the concepts originally flowing out of progressive sp…

It can be a chicken and egg thing, and like any social movement, there are always contributing factors. But I think OP's premise has a lot of truth to it. Regardless, now that we're here, it has momentum, a life of it's own so to speak, and the manosphere and disintegration of hetero relationships may not be reversible, and will probably continue. I am convinced that AI relationships is the next big wave, perhaps a tsunami, in the US.

I was talking about romantic relationships, not platonic, as you talked about BF/husbands. Platonic is another thing altogether. I define the seriousness of the conflict as the level that would ultimately lead to "a breaking point" as you alluded to. Before you marry, if you are clear about something and he doesn't listen, one time, end it right then and move on. The issue to me is having an LTR when the couple is incompatible, didn't set clear and agreed to expectations, or one of them accepted…

It would be best if people without children would not threaten but just break-up if you say something and he doesn't listen. One strike and he's out. That goes for sex too, both ways, although that should be 3 strikes and you're out. Couples should not get married, or have children, until they can live together 2 years with no conflict.

Men grow up with women are strong, independent, can do anything men can do (and better), are smarter than men, their equal, don't need men, etc. And some get annoyed if you hold a door open for them. Something like 40% of boys grow up with a single mom who is quite strong and capable. Women play violent sports, including wrestling, boxing and now cage fighting (UFC). Social movements tend to go too far and then retrench, but not all the way back to where they were before. Two steps forward and one step back. ".... choose violence to secure resources" I think this is a big factor for the last two generations in the US, as the American Dream and other ideas about getting ahead in life seem to lose credibility. Very true. Also, the most aggressive and oft times offensive (or perhaps less agreeable) men were more successful in the military and business, and therefore were stronger leaders and more wealthy - ergo, better providers and partners (and therefore role models for young boys). Yeah, that's a lot. Keep in mind, though, that includes "desiring" in addition to "attempting." It would be nice to separate those two things. Here is a summary from an AI bot: "Based on the available data and research, there does seem to be a slight trend towards more acceptance and practice of non-monogamous relationships like polyamory and open relationships in the United States in recent years, but monogamy remains the dominant relationship structure" Also: A 2020 study by the Kinsey Institute found around 1 in 6 …

Well adjusted to what reference point? In the US, relationships and dating have changed radically in the last 10 years and are changing still. There seems to be no normal anymore. AI companionship does not preclude irl friends, hobbies, or sports, in fact they can enhance them, especially hobbies that you tend to do alone. But more and more, at least in the US, friends and acquaintances get together online, which has the benefit of collecting friends from all over the world, with subsequent cult…

AI will change a lot of things in the next 5 years, including romantic relationships, especially for young men. It's not for the best overall, but it will help a lot with loneliness and depression being felt by many young men. Young men thrive with the digital and virtual world, so the upcoming tech explosion will be good for them. Their socializing will be online or virtual. I also foresee radical changes in our education system will help boys as well.

"Withholding sex" is an inaccurate term and shouldn't be used. It was given life during a period of time when sex for women was either poorly understood or not well communicated. Libido for men and women is a spectrum and therefore abounds with anecdotal protestations. In general, on average, on the whole, a woman's libido is lower and especially much more variable. Woman's libido and men's can ebb and flow at different times of the year and different phases of life. Women generally are more sen…

Yeah, I'm sure that's true, but I think the percent that expect strict virginity, vs low body count, is getting to be a smaller minority. The focus now seems to on having a low body count with men in at least short term relationships, as opposed to the hook-up culture of ONS. But there will probably always be the more religious types that want pure virginity. So it's like a slowly shifting spectrum.

That means she is done with the promiscuous lifestyle, where she bangs on the first date, and is now looking for someone for a relationship, so she is going to make you wait. She's letting you know that she doesn't want the 'pump n dump' from you. It could mean she has a high body count too. Now it's your turn to decide what you're looking for.

Thank you. The whole reference to being "human" or not seems like radicalized misandrist language bc it has no reference to reality and therefore cannot be defended. How can one argue with whether a human should be treated like a human, especially when there is no common understanding of what it means. It's propaganda.

Ofc women wear clothes that are appealing to men, it's just that it may not be on a conscious level, it gets buried into cultural norms and fashion trends. It gets ingrained into what is attractive and so they believe that they are doing it for themselves. And bc their ego is boosted by not being dependent on men's approval, they are unable or unwilling to see it as pleasing men. Also, women have a history of being unsafe around men, and don't want to be seen as inviting men's sexual aggression,…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 04:50 PM

In the US, very few women are attractive these days. I don't know if it's weight, poor nutrition, lifestyle, or what. All the fake stuff they put on and pierce, and the heavy makeup mitigates their natural femininity. And they act more masculine, too. Evolution can be an unkind master.

I think the first wave, and much more popular in the next decade will be virtual gf/bf. They will offer a viable alternative to a relationship in the next year or two, using AI. I think there are three issues here. First, is the issue of "how many men" say those things, which is a very small fraction of the men on all of reddit (just a handful of subs), and reddit includes approx. 18% of men in the US (in all subs), so you're talking about a small fraction of 1% overall. I didn't use the expression "fat women," but if and who she trusts is up to her, just like any other women, no? IMO, the "crave validation" concept, which could be a bit overstated, goes with being more 'down to earth', not "stuck up," and more approachable, than can be the case with thinner women. Andrew Tate is a major player in the mind of women. There are very few men, RP or otherwise, that give him a lot of validity. In the so-called manosphere, RP, or men's rights world, I never see or hear a reference to Tate, and for good reason. The dude is a wacko who gained notoriety bc he was one of the first to speak about men's issues. He's old news now.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/24 10:11 AM

You're conflating issues. RP men want to settle down, or get into a relationship, with a woman with traditional values (not necessarily a "tradwife"), esp someone into family life and motherhood. Avoiding marriage is a separate issue which few really follow. Pumping and dumping is for when the Chads are with women in the hookup culture and usually applies to promiscuous women doing essentially the same thing.

"I've had sex with a few guys in college, like a lot of girls, but it's not like double digit or anything like that! Just a few. I'm not into the hookup thing, I'm looking to be with someone for a relationship." Honest, but vague, Ofc, this assumes that it's not appropriate to say "none of your f'ing business." By the time a guy has the right to ask, you should have been dating for a bit and at least exclusive. If you don't give it up right away, he shouldn't ask at all.

I would not describe your situation as a high body count (although some would). Men and women are basically incompatible and often dislike attributes found in the other. Civilization taught women to respect and be attracted to men for things like protection. In the last 50 years, in the US, the dynamics that drew the sexes together have melted away, and as women don't need men anymore, the unlikeable characteristics have become more predominant. There seems to be a trend where single mothers are focused on manipulating her children's gender identify. You may feel it isn't true, as is your right, and perhaps it is not true, but it's not a lie, at least not in the traditional definition of a lie. That aside, I believe it to be true when speaking about men overall, and particularly young, single men, and not just those on Tinder.

The 80% of men don't want a hookup, they want a girl friend. They know they are not Chad and never will be. They may lust over the super hot woman, but they really want a gf who checks other boxes, and that's who they are improving for.

Thanks for clarifying that. If that is his sole concern, I'm not sure what all the dialogue on swimsuits, body count, morality, and transparency is about, but whatever. Given that narrowing of scope, combined with his lack of decisiveness, whether driven by immaturity or something else, my advice would be to seriously consider moving on in the foreseeable future. You are quite young, so you have time on your side to be patient if you otherwise feel strong about him. If he can't get past it at 26…

He doesn't know if it's a deal breaker. He has strong feelings for her. He has probably never dated anyone who posted pics like that. He's trying to figure it out, but he's not experienced enough, and probably not mature enough, to just bring it to a final decision. If she can't wait it out, she is free to leave as well. Many men and women have said that they thought they could put things behind them and move on, and then years later, realize they can't. He is free to follow accounts of women wh…

He's probably immature, so I won't defend him. It's not when she lost her virginity, and not about one guy, it's about her posting sexy pics and having an unknown sex life. He doesn't know what her body count is or if she had a train or not. She admitted to a few guys, one questionable one in particular. The common thinking is that women way underestimate their experience when they talk about it. It's the "what if" imagery in his mind, as you put it, that takes a while to dissipate, if it does.

There are many men who feel about promiscuous pics in the same general direction as sex pics, a sort of lite version. And there are many young women, who post bikini pics but exchange nudes in DM. Many. And even beyond exchanging nudes in DM... I imagine OP did not, but this is what these young women need to think about - who else is in the mostly innocent club they are joining when they post "sexy" pics, albeit not "sex" pics.
/r/RedPillWomen04/12/23 04:11 AM

And there it is....the true feelings said aloud. Woman hate men, now that they're equals in western society.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/23 08:30 PM

Yes, true. And since men approaching is either unsuccessful or seen as creepy, they are more and more just going their own way. The only ones who bother are the chad's who are going to fuck and run.

That is true, but just one of the reasons that we have such wide spread mental health issues among our young people today.

Normally, for women, it bother's them more than their husbands. I like the way my wife looks now but it bothers her. She always complains about her backside, but I like it more now! The guys that complain about their wife sometimes are worried about how it looks to the other guys with skinny wives. It's a vanity thing.

True. In the US, with each generation, the percentage of dysfunctional men and women, physically and especially mentally, continues to rise. Most Americans have a low cognitive ability, for one reason or another.

Good points. In today's society (US), fewer men and women have to settle, which is good. That is just one reason the LTR is going away. Fat people will date each other in the US, if for no other reason, most are fat (although many don't get too fat until after the wedding, and for women, after having children).

I'm happy for you in that you finally rec'd some needed insight. I gather you are not alone with a very low libido. I do object to your reference to morals, as I don't see this as an issue of morality, and wouldn't want to label women with higher libido as being immoral in any way. I have heard some that speak of the need for a solid connection calling themselves demisexual. At any rate, we are all different in that regard and should be content to be ourselves. Good for you in being able to sort…

There's a diff of "only" vs. "must include." A man can love a woman as a human in a relationship that must include sex. That would mean a woman can love a man as a human in a relationship that must include providing financially.

Men and women. My wife just leaves it bc she knows I'll take care of it. Although I assume it's more men than women.

Women are more likely to complain than men. Also, men are more likely to overlook flaws for the minority of their female partners who enjoy frequent sex. Given those 2 factors, polls/ studies will always favor women.

I wonder if men tend to rate themselves on a wider set of attributes, such as salary, whereas women tend to rate themselves more strictly on looks, which is where their SMV is centered. This would give the men more opportunities to reduce their own rating. Just a thought (and probably wrong).

True. Plus, an attractive woman at the wall is likely to be insufferable. Yuck.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/23 05:19 AM

Both men and women overstate their smv, but women are far worse than men at doing this. The constant rejection that men receive, and the high level of attention that women receive, leads men to be more realistic then women. Also, the body positivity movement is allowing women to overlook the impact of their obesity.

Speaking from the US, an adult is a human who has achieved the biological age of 18 years, with no further specification required. The teacher disciplines a student for being rambunctious, not for being a child. We criticize Karen's for fitting a behavioral pattern, not for being an adult woman. The issue is not defining good behavior in one's mind, it's applying a general term that can apply to a larger group. What if someone tells a promiscuous 20's female to stop being that and be a woman ins…

The challenge for men is to become highly functioning and fulfilled without the company of a women. Being with a real woman can be very enjoyable, and worthy as one of the goals, but should not be mandatory as a successful LTR is not likely at any rate. Men should focus on being happy first, and let female companionship happen naturally, if at all. The ironic part is that a successful man with high self esteem is more attractive to women and makes him more likely to find a mate (assuming he want…

Women love to define how they want men to behave and perform, and label it as being an "adult." In this way, they can accuse a man of not meeting their standards, usually being feminine, as not being an "adult," and it's variant's such as man-child and man-baby. When I see the word "adult," I assume there is some misandry coming. Many women like men being vulnerable, but only if, when, and how they would be vulnerable, and only if the man opens up to them in the proper way, which allows her to s…

Wow, that's tough. It's probably not the right time, but maybe you two can get a way for a weekend without your son, in the woods or on a beach, and try to get back into dating mode. Without distraction, be the people who fell in love originally, open up, revisit each other, and decide if you can start all over again. He needs to figure out, again, that you're the person he can enjoy being with, have fun with, flirt, laugh, and share. Perhaps whatever you have been thru has clouded the real you …

Yeah, a people thing for sure. I think once people get together, a whole new dynamic takes over, and all of this stuff doesn't really mean anything. So, it's just the process of getting to the first date, the filtering process. Yet a funny thing is that few really know about stuff like sexual history anyway.

You said you've both been through a lot and are not the same people, which sounds kind of ominous. Has whatever happened just pushed you two apart? You said "learning to adapt" so I take that as a relationship still, at least in part, in flux? Not speaking when both of you are on the couch seems a bit awkward - is he naturally quite introverted?

Both men and women do that for sure. The thing is, women are more likely to overlook that (his history) if they are attracted to the man and he checks the right boxes, whereas many men consider her history (low body count) as one of the boxes to be checked, and for some men, a very important box, even if they're not sure why.

I wonder if the hatred from men comes from a breakdown in the sexual, or general physical intimacy, part of the relationship. When that goes away, and men blame their partner for that, a lot of dark feelings can emerge, some seemingly related and some not. In that case, I imagine that men see their partner almost the way a woman does when she is a victim of abuse or assault, it's very personal and hurts the soul. Just my musing - please ignore me if that doesn't make sense (and it probably doesn…

I'm OG (50's) but spend a lot of time with older and younger folks. I'm good at getting along with everyone, yet given your comment, I'm glad that I have always been careful not to spend much time with men who have, for lack of a better term, low moral character, or those I would label as 'low cognitive ability'. I've heard men talk about their wives behavior or speech with a rolling of the eyes, mostly about being nagged or scolded about something we're discussing, but not true disdain, with th…

This OP is foolish rage bait. I have never once heard a man say he hates his current wife. Men don't really talk about their wives, at least not seriously, that's a woman thing. Men will not have sex with a women they find "disgusting." Less or not so attractive, sure, for a hookup, esp after drinking. A woman who they wouldn't really consider for an LTR, sure. "Disgusting," no.
