Hmm, I'm having trouble with this one. Looking at it through the red pill lens I can obviously see it as a shit test to weed out the beta provider types. However on another level, with all the articles and traction this trend is getting, couldn't there end up being a pre-selective quality to it? Just like the man bun, the more these females start seeing their peers being attracted (even if dishonestly) to the dad bod, could they not genuinely start being more attracted to it?

It's definitely an interesting question to pose, because I feel that proposing a universal beauty standard with little deviation is downright unscientific. For instance, I've noticed a pattern of black men going for larger women. I've always hypothesized that on an evolutionary level in places like Africa, having a bigger woman would have allowed for greater reproductive success. There are a lot of factors at play that I feel these guys aren't taking into account.
