Yes it’s so offensive, as IF all the other women he matched with weren’t 10x clever and more enigmatic than him

Haha so true the ones saying they are interested in ‘intellectual conversation’ are maybe 1% as smart as they think they are. I matched with a guy a couple of weeks ago and told him I did my degree in Philosophy (metaphysics). His reply ‘it’s refreshing to meet someone with a brain’ followed by ‘I’m interested in metaphysics too particularly (information copy pasted from Wikipedia)’ BLOCKED

I can’t believe women I know my age still do this, don’t get themselves educated but just have babies as soon as possible and play housewife. And some of them are so smug about it ‘i don’t have to work’ ‘I couldn’t be a part time mummy’. Girl your life belongs to a man who could change his mind once you get a wrinkle.

I live alone but on a nice safe estate with, neighbours who I feel look out for me (funny coincidence my next door neighbour is my childhood baby sitter). The house is tiny compared to what I could have elsewhere but worth it for feeling safer.

I think some guys assume fat girls will have lower self esteem, so will be a good target for manipulation and bullying. Thankfully not true as more women understand our true worth nowadays.

There is pride in frugal living and managing your money well, living well in a modest way. I think if you look after your business and are grateful of any gifts you receive you will be fine. And if some flash bastard doesn’t like the car you drive, boy bye. Don’t let yourself become dependent however.

Been in lockdown living alone, tried OLD but the quality of men is piss poor. I feel sad that I will be seeing my 30th in alone to be honest, I want my own family and don’t understand why it hasn’t happened for me. It’s hard day to day not seeing anybody, I’m avoiding social media because everyone has families or is coupled. I was in a 3 year relationship but he didn’t commit, I said I wanted marriage and from that point he started picking faults with our relationship. He is seriously enmeshed w…

I commented earlier about the state of these men on OLD but just wanted to share this newest reply from a man - I asked him what he did for work and where he lives. His response ‘electrician but I’ve been out of work a few months since getting hit by a lorry, living at home with my Mum’. Why the heck is this man trying to date? 😂

I get it all the time: ‘Becky found a husband online he’s a lovely boy’ (he is unemployed and autistic with no drivers licence). ‘My neighbour is single!’ (‘Professional’ party magician who lives in a camper van on a scrap of land nearby). I have two degrees, I own my own home, I’m healthy and attractive!! Any conversation with my family seems to circle back to them suggesting how I can meet men and them asking about each of my friends and how they found their partners. Takes me days to recover …

I feel like it’s a waste of time. Where I live has been on lockdown for months (can’t meet people, can’t travel outside local area, no restaurants or bars open) and I’m living alone literally no company since my last breakup. It’s been depressing. For that reason I’ve used it thinking I could meet someone after this ends, but these men can’t even spell.

Ugh my ex fiancé left me for a (married) coworker after an affair. I understand they were both asked to leave the company when it came out though they were given decent references and got jobs elsewhere quickly. Meanwhile I lost my home and nearly my job because I couldn’t function due to grief. Honestly you should be able to sue for damages after an affair.

Oh I understand this anger my Mother was always dating or having casual sex with the most disgusting LVM men. They just used her for sex and stole money off her (100k disappeared in about 5 years). And when you’re a teenager you just have to put up with it and hope none of them abuse you. I hate her for it but take it as a lesson to live with dignity and self respect.

I don’t think so, because the women I know who are divorced are amazing so there must be great divorced men out there too. I would even made an effort to speak and react in a ‘feminine/ submissive’ way to prevent him reacting like that and ruining the day. I’m actually so sick of having to celebrate engagements and weddings, often for relationships that look subpar, and unplanned pregnancies, when nobody has congratulated any of my achievements in the last 5 years. At least I don’t have to wake up to one of their ugly bald husbands.

I think this counts for intelligence too, my ex’s mother had very low intelligence to the point where talking to her was like talking to a little child. E.g the first time I met her she asked what my favourite colour was. I knew he wasn’t academic which is fine but after a while I noticed allot of his interpersonal and career struggles were down to a lower intellect too. Not always the case but that can be passed down.

So I posted it for discussion here because the lady is asking if she should be concerned, and I think it is worth reconsidering the relationship over because it is so disgusting and that’s a red flag? Surely it’s indicative of some psychological issue. The fact it’s pubic hair demonstrated something depraved, in my view. I wouldn’t expect a HVM would have such a disgusting habit.

I do know what you mean, it’s a disgusting and weird habit and lots of people have them. I bite my fingernails such a hard habit to get out of. I don’t think I could overlook a jar of pubes though, the fact that she smelled it OMG

I had a similar physical reaction meeting my ex’s mother. Aside from being emotionally abusive, she was 4ft4 in terrible health for someone her age and very unattractive. Like a poisoned dwarf. Then I realised she looked like a little version of him with a wig on.

How vile. I just looked Colleen Camp up and she’s not even that bad looking, she looks young for 67 with a pretty face, just overweight like a lot of ladies that age since hormones change. She’s dressed well and looks classy with nice makeup.

If they didn’t want an engagement but wanted a couples shoot they could have worn nice outfits and designed a shoot that expressed their love and relationship authentically. This is awkward, tacky and the outfits are ugly.

If it’s a nice restaurant her dress probably cost £100, shoes £100, handbag £100, makeup and jewellery £££, she probably took 2 hours getting ready.... She also probably gets paid less for the same work, and spends more on hygiene essentials, clothing and grooming generally for being a woman. So their financial situation is absolutely not going to be the same.

My friend advised me she couldn’t meet me for a socially distant walk as her county is in a stricter Tier (UK system), then told me she has been driving 3 hours to another county and tier regularly to go visit a man she’s been sleeping with.... Haha my Grandad despairs because I am 29 and not married. He keeps saying loudly (he’s deaf and think I can’t hear) to my Grandma when I visit ‘but why hasn’t she found anyone, she’s not bad looking and she’s getting old?’. Times have changed. I look better, have more money and get more (appropriate) male attention than when I was 25.

That message makes me so angry. I bet she’s much more attractive than that piece of shit too. I’m a curvy girl and the standard of men who think they are a match for me is in unbelievable, so ugly and poorly preserved. If I went out with them I’d be sat there looking like a Renaissance painting, staring at someone’s yellow teeth and spots.

‘We have a few kids’ does she not know how many? And why does she have so many children at just 24 when she hasn’t finished college? She’s obviously got an improvement mindset now she’s grown up a bit but he’s just a layabout. How embarrassing that they don’t have to pay any rent but they are broke.

Ugh my amazing colleague divorced her LVM and looks after their beautiful son completely on her own. Her ex lives with his parents doesn’t work due to depression whilst she pays for everything, he barely sees his son. She came across his OLD profile full of old pictures of him with their son, using him to attract women by making out he’s a great dad. The lies!

Also you don’t want to get into a position where you split then because your friends got to know him so well they ‘don’t want to take sides’ and you lose them. Yes I’m the same. I know allot of women prioritise finding a high earning man so they won’t have to worry about money if they have children, but I couldn’t cope knowing my lifestyle depended on someone else. My ex earned more than me and clearly felt that gave him licence to do whatever he wanted including flirt with other women and eventually cheat.

Haha I think some academic boys are just told they are so amazing at school they never bother to learn any other important skills! Whereas girls are expected to have comprehensive life skills. Ive notices allot of highly academic men are immature. Whereas working class men are grafters and will often have a home and family in their 20’s, the ones with all the degrees will still be with their Mothers having their laundry done.

I remember a guy asking me over for dinner and a movie. He wanted to make handmade pizza which seemed medium effort as he had to make the dough... but the toppings were so basic and flavourless and he served no sides! He then put the pizza on a tray to eat sat on the sofa rather than setting the table! Guy was Oxford educated but I would rather be with a bricklayer who knows how to serve an actual dinner.

I commented with fury on an article about her tweet today. Not just because of his incompetence but hers too. She refers to her husband and baby as ‘the boys’ multiple times as if they are both children and she describes HERSELF as ‘nagging’. Why didn’t she marry a man, not a ‘boy’ who she can trust to look after his own child? And she’s bragging about it! How embarrassing.

Exactly I do understand tall women wanting to date tall men so they don’t feel like a drag queen but it works both ways. My boss is over 6ft and she has made comments about colleagues having ‘small man syndrome’ and ‘I don’t know how he found a wife he is so short!’ so one day I said you know for every short man there is a short woman, I’ve never dated anyone over 5’6 because I don’t want to feel like a midget.

They act like all women discriminate too. I only date short men. I’m just 5’2 and don’t want to have to crane my neck to talk to someone.

Whaaaat pigtails are a great causal style when you’re exercising or just doing chores. My wavy hair gets way messed up in one pony tail but stays nice in pigtails. I didn’t realise it made me look like a slut aghhhh 😂

I don’t understand the motivation. The messages ‘wow you look amazing’... yes I am amazing and you look like a troll so why have you messaged me?! Sometimes I wonder if they’re just there to wank over pictures of real, attractive young women.

I have an OLD profile and I couldn’t believe the type of men who started messaging me: 50 year olds (I’m 29). Men who live on the other side of the country. Men with children (I stated I’m not interested in meeting someone with children). Men who clearly have no job or a very low income when I disclosed my (decent) income category in my bio. Men with no education. Men who have selected in their profile that they only want a woman with a slim/ athletic build. Men with NO HAIR. And all of the abov…

That is so bizarre! I mean putting your best face forwards is one thing but outright lies what will it achieve?! In my case I only had about 10k saved myself so it’s not like I would have balked at him not having 30k in the bank either. And in your case you might well have been happy to data a chap who says ‘I live with my friend and I’m saving to buy a place’. If either of us weren’t happy with their actual situation we aren’t the women for them anyway. How did he explain his lie? I feel wise t…

Why lie to impress when it’s only going to come out in the wash? My ex and I were talking savings and house deposits and he told me he had about 10k savings to which I replied ‘oh I remember you telling me you had about 30k saved for a deposit when we had recently met did you spend it?’...no he never had it but clearly lied to look like a better bet than he was.
