Opening up helps for sure. When I went through my shit, it was shocking to find out how many other guys I know went through tough shit, some you’d never have expected. Things will get better with time

Set up trust accounts that won’t be able to be touched in a divorce. Also, keep in mind that pre-nups can get over turned or thrown out completely

What’s the real issue(s)? Usually there’s no intimacy because the wife doesn’t want it. You say she wants to be, but you hate it.

Nothing to be embarrassed about or feel shame.

What’s stacked against you too would be a healthy pregnancy considering she’s 36

Women need to stop chasing the top 5-10% of guys that will never want relationships. Women need to realize that “settling” isn’t a bad thing and it’s what you’re supposed to do. If you “never settle” then you’re always chasing. Social media as others have said. It inflates the ego for sure. Men need to have more respect for themselves.

All you have to do is ask yourself: what would your ex do if the finances were reversed? Answer should be pretty clear.

I’m probably as squeaky clean as they come and my ex started trying to plants seeds that I was abusive. Luckily she went with the least-worst option of emotional abuse. But she never followed through on her threats.

Based solely on what you’ve said, your ex is a detriment to best interests of your kids. You need to do what’s best for them even if it means putting their mother in jail

It does matter if there’s kids involved and if her behaviour affects the kids safety

The good thing is they usually don’t know how to manage money so it doesn’t last very long and then they’re scrambling to survive on their own so they hunt for their next victim

This is most women. I was cheated on in my first marriage and then my second ex moved on in less than week after 8 years together and almost 5 years married. The good news is most of us can handle being alone and it’s usually more peaceful (sure is for me). The ex’s will continue to guy hop as none will take them seriously. That young guy is just using your ex and won’t take her seriously so it won’t last

Take time for yourself. Like not months, year(s). Was in the same boat and now I cannot express the peace in my life of just me and my kids.

It’ll be tough on the kids, but things will get better and easier for you, which in turn will hopefully mens things will get better your kids.

Take a step back and look at things objectively and remove the feelings. If you wait and have kids with her, you’ll be adding more work for yourself and a divorce will be much more difficult. I’m speaking from experience.

Yep. Because we’re the responsible ones so the government makes us take care of the other person so the government doesn’t have to.

If she had a boyfriend, she’d have introduced your kids to him much sooner than 1.5 years

For sure. I promise it will get better it just takes time. I cannot stress this enough, but take time for yourself to heal and don’t jump into another relationship when you’re not thinking clearly.

Get a lawyer now and start proceeding. Good thing you don’t have kids. As others have noted, she’s probably already met someone else. Most women don’t just up an leave without an “exit plan”. Trust me, been there twice….. Make a clean break and if she makes more than you as you said, make sure you lawyer pushes to get alimony/spousal support. And don’t feel bad for her. If the income was reversed, I can guarantee she’d be pushing for ever penny she could squeeze out of you. Best of luck man.

Wtf……. That is complete BS. Maybe time for a new lawyer?

That’s what I keep hearing. Their only interest is being “fair”. And by fair that means every thing comes down to numbers and kids are treated like property. My court case hasn’t started yet, but I fear the worst even though I have a very strong case for sole custody of my kids and an unequal division of assets in my favour….

The more I keep reading posts on here, the more it seems to me we’ve all married the same woman

I fully agree once I understood this, it made sense. Mine hopped onto another guy quickly. I realized that it was because she couldn’t take care of herself alone and also because as much as she may love the kids, she doesn’t want to care for them. She essentially bailed, but is dragging things out for whatever reason now. Mainly money and so that she can come and go freely from my house to visit the kids without having any responsibility for them.
/r/Divorce_Men11/11/21 11:43 AM

Exactly. Low 6 figures on a single income is peanuts now
/r/Divorce_Men11/11/21 03:29 AM

She has to divulge all her finances properly and she should have to pay for any costs. OP tell your lawyer the BS have your lawyer call her out.
/r/Divorce_Men11/11/21 03:28 AM

And that truly is sad…. False accusations of the magnitude/nature should have consequences.
/r/Divorce_Men10/11/21 04:08 PM

I’m hoping that once you prove she’s falsely accused you, that you can then have her criminally charge for filing the false report. Her actions should have consequences.

Be careful with cameras inside the house if she has no knowledge of them. I made a comment above as there’s risk of her threatening Voyerism.

Exactly what happened to me either the spa weekend. But a new guy is great as he’s taking the POS off your hands. I’ve seen this posted on other threads that they usually have an exit plan/new guy lined up if they aren’t able to take care of themselves and live on their own.

I might have missed it but if you don’t already have a lawyer, get one and start working on the documents

It’s just like bullying. They’re projecting their own insecurities, issues and short-comings onto you.

Not sure where you live, but two pieces of advice 1. Make sure you can legally change the locks. Where I live I can change the locks and I have to let her come and go from the house as she pleases, even though she has confirmed living somewhere else for months now. This is because no decision “legally” has been made on the house… it’s terrible and I had/have no clue how this is the law. 2. If these are cameras you’re putting up in the house you need to make sure she is aware and have it document…

Exactly this! If you’re unhappy that’s fine, but you don’t need to make your partner out to be the bad guy. I’m going through my second divorce (there’s some other issues) and basically I’m getting it thrown in my face that I was a minimally involved father all because I work a full time job while she stayed home with the kids, even though in the last couple years before separating I did the care as soon as I got home from work, on weekends and even during my work day while I was working from ho…

This. My ex’s new bf if my favourite person. He’s now getting a taste of the BS after many months. My only hope is he sticks it out until things get resolved and she gets her payout (which she is dragging the whole process and spending my kids’ money…..) and I get the kids and the house.

It just take a bit of time, they will get less frequent and less intense as the days/weeks/months pass. Stay strong for yourself and your son

Been there, it took her all of less than a week to move on after 5 years of marriage and barely 2 weeks to post a photo.. 1. Don’t start drinking 2. Use the that anger you have constructively to get your crap in order. 3. You’re the parent (not a babysitter) if she’s moved in that quickly it’s pretty clear her priority isn’t the kid(s). 4. Take care of yourself and reach out to family and friends as a support system. 5. You CAN do this. Wish you the best of luck and things will get better and ea…
