Just going out on a limb here, but I think it's safe to say that the women writing articles about how some dude's abs make them all moist are very likely not the same women writing complaints about boobs in video games, or gratuitous ass shots in Olympic volleyball. NBC's coverage of bikini-volleyball is a much bigger deal than some obscure website's coverage of some user-created fanfiction that 0% of the population has even seen. It's equalvalent to laughing at a joke someone scribbled onto a bathroom stall door, vs. getting upset that a prime-time TV show made a joke about a strap-on dildo.
