Need to see the movie myself before I make judgements of this level. I don't think the male characters in movie/TV always need to be the smartest characters. Why NOT have the women be in charge sometimes? Now, I understand that a lot of sitcoms definitely fall into the Stupid Husband trope, and that does suck, but that doesn't mean that you can't have dumb male characters ever, and until I can watch the movie myself I'm not going to bother making a judgement.

It WOULD be a serious breach of privacy, IF he had donated to a real sperm clinic. Being that they used a turkey baster (or whatever), he is afforded exactly NONE of those protections. I'm not saying it's not fucked up, but with 5 minutes worth of research this guy could have saved his own ass. This isn't the first time something like this has happened.

How is their ability to obtain a child a concern of the man? He didn't even know these people. They met through Craigslist. Like I said, if you want to donate sperm to a worthy cause IN A NON-LEGALLY BINDING WAY, then you go to a sperm bank. These types of contracts are NOTORIOUS for not holding up in court.
