People keep insisting that hatred towards women isn't common on this sub, but if you ask about it all you'll get is 50 people screeching about how there's nothing wrong with hating women lol. Why not just own it, or at least not go so far out of your way to avoid acknowledging how prevalent it is here if you don't participate yourself? Is it just a fear of having the sub removed after the whole incels thing?

Rejecting romantic relationships for life is such a fringe position that it's natural to be curious about it. You act like you're being attacked but I don't think that's the case.

To be fair, it probably does matter. Incels got banned for a reason and there's enough open hatred towards women here (which gets reported) that this will probably be one of Reddit's next targets.

Clearly, you aren't looking very hard. I just posted my honest observation last night that a lot (not all) of men here make posts openly hateful towards women, and nobody tried to argue with me that I was wrong. They instead blew up telling me that there is nothing wrong with hating women lol

Hold on, you're asserting that most men in your age range are mentally ill or have committed suicide? lol Where did you even get that?

I think it's pretty hard to argue that a program in which the first step is "get mad and act hateful" is healthy.

This simply isn’t accurate. Your whole argument is built on a misunderstanding of what atheism is. It is the lack of a theology. It does not entail certainty that there is no deity on it’s own. There exists both gnostic atheism and agnostic atheism. You could say that a definitive belief that no higher power exists is a form of religious faith, and you’d be right, because there’s no evidence either way. God is an unfalsifiable hypothesis. To assume all atheists believe with 100% certainty that a…

I think that's what has happened. I came here with the intention to actually learn, not to troll. I tried not to be aggressive or insulting and I thought people would be more receptive because of that. I can see I was wrong now, and Reddit insists on discouraging conversation by making me wait 10 minutes between posts so I think I've had my fill for now. Have a good night everybody

I noted that he was generalizing the entire female gender in a negative light, and extrapolated from that that I imagine the reason many women troll this place is because they're reacting to similarly hateful posts. I certainly didn't accuse him of anything that wasn't already blatantly obvious. I didn't even take a position on anything. I just stated what appears to be happening from my perspective.

If classical music made up half of the human race, I likely would. You're certainly allowed to be as bigoted as you like. I'm not going to stop you. I'm just stating my point of view because I'm genuinely interested in the views others here have to offer.

Can you point out where I instigated an aggressive or condescending conversation for me?

I think I've got a pretty clear idea of the type of person that frequents this sub now lmao. Thanks. I'll let you continue your circlejerk

I'm secure enough in my masculinity that I'm not too concerned. You can have my status - you seem to need it.

I think you're just cycling through nonsensical insults and hoping one sticks m8.

I don't have a safespace because anybody that just seeks out echo chambers to avoid actual discussion is probably an idiot.

You're wrong right off the bat though. I didn't say the men in this subreddit must hate women. I said many men in this sub seem to hate women. Hold off on the condescending tone until you've worked on your reading comprehension a bit.

Well yea, but what I'm saying is it's pretty uncool to bash on all men or all women in any space.

Generalizing and being openly hateful towards either half of the human population is just nonsensical though. When you see somebody being retarded, you're not gonna be able to shut them down by acting retarded yourself.

If you're really that concerned, couldn't you discuss a prenuptial agreement? There's a way to avoid all that right from the start. While it gets messier with kids, I think that's a problem for a lot of people because they have kids in their early-mid 20's when they just aren't as prepared for what that means as they think they are. Absolutism in this particular case seems excessive to me because marriage can be empowering for both parties when done right, both in terms of personal growth and wi…

No idea who "you people" is referring to. I just stumbled across this sub. You can argue semantics if you'd like, but it's not really disputable that your post casts women in a bad light.

How does the lack of a theology require you to block out logic or rational thought though?

I'm just discovering this sub and have some honest questions. Do you choose to place other goals over romantic relationships because they don't matter to you, or do you have difficulty with women and simply have decided that pursuing them isn't worth the effort? If a woman you find attractive in terms of personality and physical appearance approached you with romantic intentions, would you turn her down? Is it just relationships you reject, or are you celibate as well? I'm just curious as to who…
