That ‘if you wish to see the truth’ line is profound.

No you're not in the wrong. As much as she is claiming you are trying to play the victim, she is doing all she can to dodge responsibility - so she can play the injured party to her friends when YOU file for divorce and mop up all the sympathy.

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m doing. I have no interest in contact other than logistics.

So we've already agreed and are (as much as possible) doing 50/50 custody - with her shift work being the sticking point. In reality I have the kids closer to 2/3s of the time. I have no issue with her seeing the kids, quite the opposite - I think it's crucial both parents maintain a good relationship with their kids. What I'm not comfortable with is her being here in my home at such a potentially charged time of year, not after her deceit.

My wife left last month, I remain in the family home with the kids and the dog. We've been trying to keep things amicable for the sake of the kids and she's breadcrumbed a few hints about being able to get back together in the future. Because I've been trying to be nice I suggested to her that for Christmas she comes back and stays over so we can have Christmas morning as familiar as possible for the kids. She thought this was a nice idea. The day before yesterday we had a conversation about the…

Ellen Pao has always been an awful human being. This article comes as no surprise whatsoever - she would make Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot proud.

They would be fine. It's men who hold the culpability.

In the UK, if a drunk man has sex with a drunk woman - even if she consents - it's rape. The judicial system takes the view that she is incapable of consent to sexual intercourse and its therefore by default rape. The same woman, in the same state of drunkenness, if she got behind the wheel of a car and drove drunk would have the book thrown at her. So we actually have a state where a woman can be too drunk to handle her natural impulses, but not too drunk to go to jail for operating heavy machi…

To add a little nuance to the conversation, I would argue that people mix up motivation and inspiration. When you see a fit, muscly guy and that makes you sign up to the gym you are not *motivated* to go to the gym - you are *inspired*. Inspiration is the kick start that many people get for various things in their life - artists for example often talk of being inspired something to start a painting they've been struggling to start with for a while. When you have the discipline to train regularly…

It solves the problem where I have control over it - interactions between me and women I meet, work with, socialise with, etc. I will also teach my son to interact respectfully with women and girls as he grows up I’m doing exactly what I can within my own power and not trying to virtue signal that I can fix the problems of the world - which in my view is a vanity that many people espouse by on social media without actually doing anything. I repeat the question : What are you doing?

Look this is simple. Put the kid in a room by themselves with toys and clothes of both girl and boy selections and let the kid choose. If the kid chooses a dress and plays with dolls the mum is right, if the kid chooses boys clothes and plays with cars the dad is right. Either way there should be no surgery until post puberty as there is no solid way of determining if this is just a phase or not.

"It proposes awarding maintenance for five years, with longer terms only if needed to prevent hardship." So the game then switches to Lawyers coming up with new and imaginative ways to invent "hardship" in order to increase the payout duration.....

Being relatively new to TRP and father to a five year old boy and seven year old girl I am absolutely determined that my son should be given every opportunity to grow up masculine and appreciating being a guy. I'm all too aware that our society (UK) is feminine primary but I'm fortunate being in a traditional marriage - I am the bread winner and the wife looks after the house and kids, we both are happy with our roles and work constantly on our family and relationship and best of all, have the s…

Crossed my eyes and stuck my tongue out at her, grinned and looked away as if she had lost my interest.

Can you do paid paralegal work for the time being (I don't know the legal field so may have this all wrong). Also it sounds to me a little like you tie your self worth to what you bring home - I am a bit like this myself. If this is the case your frame will be weakened by not fulfilling the breadwinner role - try to focus on your self worth in other areas? You're going to be a lawyer at the end of the year - that's one hell of an achievement, keep that goal in sight, keep lifting, don't go looki…

Great post, take an up vote. I am admittedly one of those people who consume too much news. I have several apps on my phone for it. I've taken news holidays before and likely will again and noticed I am more at peace when I don't bother with the news. It is, as you say, an unnecessary tool today with most issues reported having ZERO impact on our daily lives while making us think they are important. Hell, I'm deleting those apps right now - thank you!

She already thought that - it was doubtless one of the first things that shot through her mind, bringing it home to her very quickly her mistake. Abundance and all that.

You are right of course, I'm just a tad lazy and need to get off my arse. I will do it. Two kids - 4 and 6. "bluepill overdose and inadequate body fluid exchange." I love this description, it holds truths.

New to TRP and MRP, been lurking for a couple of months and made a start on the sidebar reading material, joined a gym (need more motivation to actually go though). Have taken up the red pill due to sex in my marriage almost completely drying up - only three times this year. Wife has had on/off health issues including ongoing anxiety for which she is taking SSRIs which as we all know can kill drive. However for 3 months last year she hit the gym, got a trainer, dropped two stone and couldn't kee…

Your post says you work at a Jail, I'm assuming as a guard - do you find that monitoring and dealing with prisoners is similar in many ways to dealing with adolescent children and therefore get to apply/practice your people management skills at work as well as at home? Just curious.

He can't. SHE never actually claimed she was raped - the Police and Crown Prosecution Service decided it was rape because she said she couldn't remember anything and pulled out the old 'my drink must have been spiked' card. So despite zero evidence other than her word, they charged him.

Over here in England the acronym SJW has quite a different meaning but ironically I think it fits most Social Justice Warriors quite well. Slack Jawed Wankers.
