I think expecting yourself to not get attached is a tall order if your options are scarce. I would recommend that you accept your high infatuation instead of fighting it. It sucks, I know. Trying to fight something so strong is just a waste of energy. Instead, try to not let it cloud your judgement or make you do dumb things. This takes strength but being strong is it’s own reward. As a man, life is going to give you uncertainties and put a lot of pressure on you. Even though the stakes are high…

There is a flaw in your thinking. It’s impossible to appear indifferent unless you actually are indifferent. If you’re faking it almost every woman will be able to tell, even if you’re a really good actor. You should focus on becoming an attractive individual and never on appearing like one.

You improve them by learning to trust them more. All you’re doing is “listening to your gut”. Trust your first impression rather than over analysing the situation. Sometimes it’s more appropriate to analyse things but when it comes to matters of attraction listening to your feelings, emotions and instincts is usually more pragmatic. Other book recommendations are Models by Mark Manson. This is a great book to get you out of the PUA mindset (if that’s a problem for you). Also King Warrior Magicia…

Don’t pursue or avoid. Don’t try any tactics because they won’t work. She obviously doesn’t want to talk to you right now so you must respect that. Give her space but be polite and friendly if you see her again. This is the best thing to do because it leaves the door open for her to develop feelings for you again. When you get the sense that she has regained an interest in you then try again. Do not try to trick her into liking you.

If she wants you to leave her alone the vibe you get from her will be unambiguous. Sometimes though they want you to work to lift their mood or break down their defences. Your instincts should tell you if this is the case. In my experience lots of high energy/ charisma/ boisterousness will be your best bet. I recommend the book “the way of the superior man” by David Deida. That book is one hell of an eye opener.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
