I have two dogs, so I use a brush with "bristles" made of rubber to sweep my rugs with helps get dog hair unstuck from the fibers. It also gets out human hair, fibers from other sources, dust and debris. I vacuum afterward. I have a Dyson which I consider a fairly powerful vacuum and still, when I tried this for the first it instantly found some "dirt" (mostly hairs haha) and that after vacuuming!
