“only to teach boys, or not to teach at all” Don't do it. I was tape interviewed by the police in the headmasters office over accusations made by a boys mother. No further action was taken. Not that I was shown to be innocent. Not that the 99% non-verbal child could not possibly have given that account of my actions that could not possibly happen in my working environment. Not that a larger investigation was taking place that resulted in the child and his brother being removed from the mother a …

£75,000 is an exaggeration. I would figure she is getting closer to £12,000 per year including housing benefit. Which is still more than many working families can make. Which in my opinion is still too much as she is also an unnecessary drain on NHS resources, which also cost tax payers money and take services away from people in more urgent need. I am sure that eventually the DWP will get her off that sofa, or an undertaker will. Daily Mirror article from Jan 2015. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/…

I said this on the BBC thirty years ago. No-one listens to me.

Yep, it depends how much individuals get drawn into it. For the unwary it's a trap. New season team shirts and memorabilia, season tickets and travel can lead to huge expense. For others it can become a bizarre emotional tie and time waster they would be better off without. If it works for you as a social activity with the guys that's fine, just do your thing.

It's celeb culture for men. Merchandising memorabilia and fashion. It's bread and circuses. Each to their own but be careful not to get lost.

Please support your local foodbank if you can. Individual donations, large or small, collectively make a big difference to people in need. I volunteer for my local foodbank and other local charities. I am very happy to help support whoever needs help but I understand that a large percentage of those receiving food parcels are single men, very much like me. I could be in their shoes, largely ignored and unsupported by government and most charities. Local donors are very generous and I am very hap…

Remember this: They want to monopolise your resources - time, energy, thoughts, money. They want your attention to validate themselves and when you have nothing left to give they will take everything else that the law will allow and walk away from your empty shell without looking back. Remember this when they turn on the charm and tempt you into your chains.

Yes, I played the game for 40 years but it got progressively more insane. I blame Apple, Facebook etc. and increasingly weak PC management until the cliques were running the asylum.

In my experience, women make the workplace so fucking miserable with their cliques, petty cat-fights and phone distractions that it becomes impossible to work with them and difficult to get anything useful done. All the sane men have jumped ship.

My preferred method is to fall asleep in a deep, hot bath tub after drinking black coffee and eating chocolate-based snacks whilst browsing some low-value reading material. After soaking, I wash my hair with shampoo in the tub and I like to shave sitting down. This gets a small amount of soap products in the water, and then I am done. I don't do the kind of manual work that gets me covered in motor oil etc. so I am as clean as anybody. It has been noticed that I have very soft skin.

I first became aware of problems of environmental oestrogen from a Playboy magazine article from (around) 1976. As I recall the article had the headline "Soap shrinks your balls" and also discussed sexual changes in crocodiles/alligators. I have not used hard soap in the bath tub since that day. You can be clean and well-groomed whilst limiting your exposure to these chemicals. My FWB raised this as new news last week but we knew about this problem all those years ago and nothing changed. Now th…

I am a man. I have choices. Most of the time, especially in my own home or the homes of friends I will pee sitting down. Ever wear shorts and pee standing up? the splash back will cling to your leg hairs. There's a surprising amount of tiny droplets scattered around. I don't want that on my clothing and I don't want my house to smell of old mans pee as my olfactory senses fail so I pee sitting down. At work, in bars, in a hurry or outdoors I have a plumbing solution and I will use it. This is no…

Self attacking is correct. It's the flight or fight response turned inwards. If your hormonal response is to punch your bosses face everyday but the law says you cannot do that don't be surprised if eventually you start to beat yourself up.

What you are describing is workplace bullying. This is using peer pressure, recruiting (=gangs and cliques) others to make inappropriate comments about your life style and sex life. I would suggest that you keep a diary and when possible record this behaviour. You can say that these intrusions are not welcome, refuse to get drawn into justifying yourself, call it bullying, and if it doesn't stop immediately then speak to HR or your supervisor. You don't have to take this shit from anybody and it…

Fight the programming that has you trained to help them. In a work situation be available to give help that's asked for or to step in to prevent injury to people or damage to equipment. That's your only commitment. Be very clear that you are available to help should they ask. Be co-operative and cheerful. I like lifting stuff :-) I used to lift weights every day and my body remembers how it was. At work, someone recently asked should we help a female colleague with lifting and I just said no, th…

A MGTOW needs to be 100%; Self-motivating, Self-rewarding and Self-validating in all their thoughts and actions. The more we can do this the more content we can be and the more free we are.

I spent weeks restoring an antique, French, wrought iron, forge welded bed. I stripped it down to bare metal then primed it and built up the coats of paint. Then I custom made the slats and mattress base. Then I restored an antique, French tolware coronet and machined sewed drapes for it and sourced a vintage wicker lap table which are extremely rare in the UK and customised that. Sometimes a quality project takes time and some inconvenience. This would have been impossible with a woman in the h…

Supply teaching is when a qualified teacher who doesn't work in one particular school stands in for another when a teacher is unavailable for whatever reason. They may cover absence due to sickness or maternity/paternity leave, jury duty etc. It is usually very highly paid. The challenges of each posting depend on individual teachers and schools. In the UK some schools like to use Higher Level Teaching Assistants already working in the school as they are considerably cheaper and offer more conti…

Out of school, I trained as an engineer and the knowledge gained was used extensively in my later work with children. From making teaching resources to having the knowledge to deliver interesting science lessons. The curriculum said I had to teach electrical circuits for six weeks. There's only so much a class can get from turning light bulbs and motors on and off so I developed a scheme of work to discover what's inside household electrical items. We took apart anything I could find and explore…

This is true. For one example, I was interviewed by the police and they decided to, "take no further action". The accusations were bizarre and could not have taken place as described. As a part of a larger pre-existing child protection investigation of the family involved, the details of which were never revealed to me, the child and his siblings were later removed from the family. I have no doubt the accusations made against me are still on a police file somewhere.
/r/MensRights08/05/16 10:35 AM

That isn't my argument. You might want to re-read my post.

As a man who spent 35 years working with other peoples children and their families in health and education I second this. The kids and most adults are generally great and the work is very rewarding however there is constant undercurrent of suspicion, watching, baseless gossip and unfounded reporting and investigation, restrictions on working practices and occasionally taped chats with policemen in a supervisors office. I had to push through barriers to be able to do the work I did and I was f'in…

football and beer = bread and circuses. It's celebrity culture for men and it would serve us well to break free of this stuff.

When the night trains pull into my city all the men queue for the cash points on the station concourse whilst all the women either wait for them or breeze right through. It's obvious who spends money in the pubs and clubs.

Having read the whole article I get the impression that the writer is overly attached to celebrity culture and social media. These are twin evils that perpetuate a distorted world view. Any MGTOW is well-advised to detach themselves from any concern with these distractions and the women who immerse themselves in the toxic outpourings created.

Yes, there are lots of influences through science. Developments in medicine, hospital births and reduced infant mortality through access to clean water and improved housing amongst them.
/r/MensRights27/10/15 06:25 PM

The Second Wave came about through medical technology. Firstly, reducing the risk to both the mother and the child of dying or suffering life-changing injuries in childbirth. And highly important, by women gaining reproductive rights through the contraceptive pill and access to safe, legal abortions. At the other end of the age scale, aged parents are now more likely to be healthy and independent or receiving professional care rather than from a younger female relative. Through these advancement…

I'd like think that contributors are only judged by the value of their contributions. So as far as I am concerned join whatever you like and speak your piece. I don't know what, "You find reprehensible" until you write about that and I don't know where the, "senior member" of the other forum got that information from. I suspect they made it up from their own prejudices and should be called out on it. You are fortunate that in 26 years you have not experienced actual Misogyny. I have had a lifeti…

Firstly as an adult I understand that all people and animals fart. I have no interest in other people's farts. I think that drawing attention to other people's farts is rude and childish. If you need to fart in my presence please just go ahead and do it. I would rather you were relaxed and happy in my presence than stressing about how I might judge you. I don't think this woman is relaxed and happy and I don't think these insults she is listing ever happened to her personally. She is a big pile …

I had a similar time the one time my ex-wife visited my vegetable gardens (about two miles from my home). They have a thing about separating a man from the things he loves and eroding his spirit.

It is usual to praise men for their work (skills, attitude, results) and women for their appearance. If you want to acknowledge or raise a man's status within a group you praise his work. It is less usual to compliment a man on his looks but that doesn't mean he wouldn't like it if you did. When I see an attractive woman these days I generally think, "And what else have you got". I want to know what they are bringing to the table in addition to what they are showing.

After 35 years of working with children and families it seems to me that the over-exposure aspect of the single parent childhood is that the child typically grows up being exposed to adult themes that would normally be kept private between the two adults of the household. For example, in a relationship where the parent-child boundaries are less rigid than might otherwise be the case, then work stress, money worries, illness, sexuality etc that couples would share privately seem to be discussed o…

That would have been provocation. You just get so you anticipate sudden bursts of insanity for no good reason and just keep your head down. Always knew she'd leave and I had full rights on the home so I wasn't going anywhere, so I just had to wait it out.

D.A.E> A) only have one kitchen knife? B) use the slotted shelves inside the fridge as a knife rack?
/r/MensRights15/02/15 08:13 PM

When I was married I often hid the kitchen knives. In that kind of marriage you just don't leave potential weapons where they can be grabbed.
