You could approach with a comment about the food she is getting in a joking way- "Oh I don't know if I would go with the mac and cheese... I still have nightmares." Any type of jesting attitude towards the surroundings is a good way to break the ice. You will need to gauge her body language and attitude towards you the next time you meet to see whether she is still interested or if you're SOL. In a situation like this it may even be good to withdraw yourself from her reach to an extend- everyone knows women want what they can't have. (Or at least that has been my experience).
