So we can't even have discussions on the pros and cons of monogamy ?

I like your response. I always wanted the same things as you. I guess I heard so many stories and also had some sentimental disappointments, so I am a bit lost. Also I haven't dated for so long and I have maybe lost touch with the reality of being a couple. Working fewer hours could work also. I have thought maybe doing a meaningful job, like counselling or teacher. I guess more and more this discussion makes me think monogamy is the way to go

Ok I understand what you are saying and I feel most of it is true. I heard in the US a lot of women use men financially. But the way I see it is different. I guess its from my culture. A man is really respected if he is able to take care financially for his wife and family. Men and women respect him. Talking about money and splitting things is really not well seen. It's like you are cheap. Even people that have almost nothing, will try to give you things and be hospitable. That's the way I am, s…

Thank you for your comment. What do you mean by sexual growth?

Ok thank you for your perspective. I have seen a lot of couples putting the kids before their partner and I also think it can bring problems to the relationship. I also totally agree its beneficial for children to witness love and affection between parents.

Oh ok I understand. Thank you, I think I've been single too long, maybe I am disconnected from the reality of being in a relationship. I am just sometimes scared to be with someone that will get bored of me.

I was asking for arguments pro monogamy. Looks like you have none to share so you have to be judgmental instead. I am starting a conversation, is it allowed in this sub?

I wanted to start a conversation here on a traditionalist forum, because yes, I am confused about relationships. After seeing the failure of the majority of couples, I started becoming disillusioned. I saw so many women hurrying to get married at a certain age, just for them to divorce a few years later. So yes I am confused and trying to make sure if monogamy is the right course of action for me. That’s why I am thankful to have had responses from you and others on my post. I am thinking now th…

Forget about "finding red pill men" or "hitting the wall". Improve yourself and your life. Make it something worthwhile living. Have some goals (small to large). Watch inspiring podcasts. I feel spending too much time on red pill forums or youtube is just depressing. Its good to be aware of the reality of things, but you need positivity in your life! Buy some flowers, decorate your room, feel the sunset on your skin, life is awesome at any size! <3

Look at fashion in europe. I feel america's style is really childish. Look at older movies, with classic style women. Im not 30 but I got a lot of inspiration from Meryl Streep in some of her old movies (1980s)

Don't be depressed! You can be beautiful and be tall. So many women also have insecurities because they think they are too small. Everywoman has to deal with many deceptions in the dating world, so don't think that its your height that is preventing you from meeting the one. Go on dating apps, you'll get a lot of validation !

Did you ever have sometime by yourself? I think being celibate and just doing you for a while is good to do a "reset".

Why do you go out with a guy that you feel is a better catch than you? Isn't it a little masochistic? It makes me think of Sex and the City- Carrie and Bigs "relationship". Find someone that will adore you and make you feel like you're the best thing in the world.

Ok so you agree that monogamy is a made up concept that doesn't have as much benefits as it claims to have? Maybe polygamy is really the best compromise. Having multiple wives. I feel for women it will be less boring because there is less routine, and you can have your own time to do things without having to live with a husband 24h/7 and for the husband it gives him sexually variety and its also less boring, while having a family life and building something together. Its just an idea but more an…

But in most of human history people were having children and they weren't monogamous. In the Muslim world, people have kids and family lives while being polygamous. I feel that most people marry to fit in a mold, and because as a society we've decided that it's easier to pair people up so that things are less messy. Having kids is not a negative idea. But having kids because you're scared time is running out, is bad. Having kids while being married to a man you don't respect is bad. The children…

So what about men who are using their wives and once they get financially successful they leave them to be with women half their age? Are they not using them? What I see is that women offer sex, companionship, money (as now women are expected to provide), emotional help, organizing the home and taking care of kids. So I should settle with a guy, make his life miserable because I won't respect him for not being able to be a real man, and all that for what? To be able to say to others that I am ma…

Oh thanks that’s some great points to think about. I’ve never stopped to think if I had contradictions in my wants. It’s gray advice thank you. And yes I am bored now and I really miss the companionship of have someone there for you and being intimate with someone. The pandemic is not making things easier but I’ve decided to try dating online !

Yes I 100% agree with that and that is why I decided to be celibate. I didn’t make a conscious choice to do it but I just felt like people that slept around had an empty look in their eyes. But I am wondering what is the point of pair bonding? Let’s say you marry someone and you pair bonded with them had a few kids etc... now your life is boring, you have no time for you OR your husband. You spend all your time taking care of kids and there’s not even a sex life with your husband. Pair bonding i…

Thank you for your response. You gave good arguments on the benefits for marriage for me. I’m 28 and without being pretentious I’m pretty good looking and like to take care of myself. I agree with the losing respect for my man thing. And frankly I’m not sure I would want to be sexual with other men, but maybe have them around to not be bored... anyways I do have a problem of finding most men not good enough for me (not the looks but I’m looking for a man that I can respect and that will want to …

So true, just one item of clothing and more confortable than pants!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
