However, our bodies are permanently changed in some ways, in some cases - and that is normal and okay too. Stretch marks, loose skin etc, but beauty doesn’t come from perfection, and you will adjust to your new body once you accept it. You can still be beautiful post baby but you may have to get your head around not being the same type of beautiful as before.

Hmm okay that’s interesting, thank you for that, I’ll look into the book, I’m currently reading ‘created to be his helpmeet’ by Debi pearl.

I think kissing and blowjob is great foreplay. Maybe you could build up before you even get to the bedroom, like hint that you’re keen to do the deed etc, brush up against him, little things to build up that tension.

What’s wrong with blowjobs? I give my husband blowjobs and we both enjoy it.

As soon as I see my husband cry I am overwhelmed with compassion and just want to comfort him but also feel privileged that he feels safe to express that with me. I think if he cried all the time it might get a bit old ... and unattractive.

Thank you this was encouraging and reassuring. I guess I was just worried that I had been making more decisions and I thought that meant I was leading, but if I think about it he likes it this way and so has sort of entrusted this to me. He is definitely the steady type, but also can have very strong opinions so I am thankful for such a well balanced man. I guess leadership is more complex than I thought. I am just going to work on the small things and having a more consistently good attitude, I…

I’m still unclear on what calling him lord achieves, I honestly think my husband would feel uncomfortable if I did this. I agree I need to be a joy not a nag and I am working on this.

What do you mean about the statement that we spend time with other Christians? Sorry I’m not following what is significant about that. Yeah he is always seeking to grow. I’m not sure how he would feel about that, he isn’t big on ‘mentors’ as he feels they can become idols to people. What would someone from RPC working with him entail?

This all sounds great except for calling him lord in public, what would be the purpose of that? I think it would make us both laugh, mostly him...

Thank you this is great! Some of it I already do (sex) but some I lack (greeting him pleasantly when he gets home). I’m usually very tired from looking after our baby all day and it shows, I will work on being more grateful for him. And thanks for the practical help with how to defer decisions to him, I think sometimes I have a strong opinion on what we should do and he seeks to please me so will go with it. He is not a super submissive man, he just wants to be a good husband. He is quite a stro…

Yes it is very important to him, he reads his bible daily and often does studies on particular topics. He is always talking about his most recent thought or revelation about Jesus. That is one way which I think he leads the family well, because he encourages me to read the word and pray. He loves talking to people about Jesus. His answer to every moral question is biblical and he considers it to be ultimate truth. We spend our time with other Christians mostly too.

Thank you this is very helpful! He often puts it on me to make decisions but you’ve just helped me realised that is his decision! I definitely sometimes have a yucky attitude which I know he picks up on. I also have complained in the past if he’s made a bad decision, thankyou for helping me see that these things contribute to his lack of leadership.

I am the woman, I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post as a woman.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
