The tall shopping list of expectations of the modern woman, either as a celebrity or a plain shop assistant certainly raises questions of what some women preternaturally expect from men. But then as a man you have to ask why and how off base these expectations? Well, you be the judge...

So essentially as long as we as men anaesthetise the experience we shouldn’t be bothered by it, but to be bothered by it suggests somehow that we are bothered by women? Really? Is this a view many women share? Is that why women make such an effort to get their hair and nails done, cause they reckon we will only want to be with them as long as they accede to some preferred version of ideal femininity that men lob over their heads? And if we digress then we hate them?

I wonder how much consternation there would be if both genders were targeted. The encroachment of privacy is certainly a compelling one. I'd def be concerned if one gender or the other was manufactured to be less that whole. At least here the site gives the onus to its readers. Media making a new headway. Or is it?

It's an issue that what gets tested for at a very early age is something girls have a natural advantage of but those roles as the sexes mature: as one commentator below says: I think it's due to the shift in high school away from verbal skills towards a greater emphasis on spatial awareness and problem solving skills. The question then is there a way we can shift the tests that are conducted to allow for a more equitable distribution of the sexes attending selective schools?

Ok- the presumption that a man is entirely complicit in a woman's rape is in my mind debatable. Yes there are times that a man perpetrates a sex crime, but there are also times a woman can perpetrate a sex crime against a man, and sometimes she can also argue the idea that she had no responsibility for incurring a sex crime. Not that i condone this, but one ought to ask how much responsibility should women bear with regards to this instead of it all being thrown down a man's shoulder. What do yo…

Really you have to wonder whether this would be an issue if the roles were reversed. Something most media outlets are not bothering to mention. Why?

I'm probably going to upset a few women here, but I'm wondering if patriarchal relationships is what women innately prefer? Never mind the advances in gender equality. So once again, why is a woman's happiness contingent on a man being there? But maybe we could say the same for men- with women being there for them? Thoughts anyone?

If it was a male anchor, I don't think it would've been a slap. Men aren't allowed to slap, it doesn't fit the veneer of what a man should be, according to society. But in this instance it seems everyone was being playful, but one does wonder how this would have gone down had it been a male anchor physically admonishing a young woman? I guess the idea is a woman can be given more leeway to get away with certain behavior because she is supposedly the weaker sex. So I have been told...

Is it any wonder that boys end up growing inherently more vulgar and meaner than most girls? It's their only safety valve that states in a culture a woman is afforded her privileges because of her gender where as a man, even a little boy becomes aware his privileges must be always earned. And if they are not, he will go wanting...

It boils down to an issue of the first amendment- one is entitled to their freedom of speech and course of action as much as the ex girlfriend was entitled to have the abortion- after all as a woman she gets to carry the child. Nevertheless I get the impression the boyfriend is behaving out of spite and hysteria as opposed to pursuing a constructive dialogue. It seems as men we are forced to respect the fact that ultimately a woman has to want to keep the baby.
