If you resent us so much why change yourself to date us 🙄 we don’t want you before or after.

Had a wall puncher ex who was also jealous of my liking of celebrity men (really just kpop, if I thought any of them ware attractive period). Me hanging out with gay (male) friends because “he couldn’t hang out with me” (long distance - also, never again). Many “you’re trying to make me out to be the bad guy” and “I’m a good guy and a good boyfriend.” Years later and I was still blaming myself for everything. This post is making me realize it might not be as much me as I thought. I’m not perfect…

Same. My job is always more important, to not take that chance to screw up the environment I spend so much of my time.

Guy I went out with had a sex toy box, and in it he also had a pair on women’s bathing suit bottoms. He said someone had left it behind (I guess at a house he was swimming at.) He said he liked to wear it sometimes. I basically just didn’t try to make him feel bad for it 😅. He also said he didn’t floss, except maybe once or twice a year when he went to the dentist.

She brought it up one more time and it was basically that she wanted me to “fix him.” I told her to just do it herself lol. If she does again I do plan to tell her to have him just get therapy ;) I don’t think she’ll be offended since she was trying to basically make me his therapist. But I also won’t care since that would be the third time her bringing it up.

Exactly. Not some stranger who “thinks we’re pretty” or “you guys would make a cute couple,” what is that even!

And it’s the “having a man is better than not having one” mentality that the (especially) older generation of women have. I got both my mom and grandmother to eventually see that this is not ok, that men are not necessarily. It took time. And the women who’ve never imagined that option for themselves or other women are almost stuck with a backwards mindset of relationships. I didn’t, thanks to this sub. I don’t know who I would be without it. Definitely, we just have to always be making sure our…

That’s what it feels like. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt that she would comprehend why I (or other women) wouldn’t want to “give him a try” as they say. But who knows.

Yes! And in the end you’ll become something to pass the blame on. They’ll blame for you everything wrong with him, when, he’s always been like that.

She’s barking up the wrong tree in that case. I don’t want kids and I refuse to let any MIL tell me how to live. I really dislike the normalization of them controlling women dating or married to their sons.

Wow! You’re definitely wise to stay away from her. Very insulting to try and set you up with a guy like that. You two are on completely different wavelengths. He has nothing to offer you and everything to take away from your perfectly happy emotionally independent life. You sound so confident in knowing who you are and how you want your life to be. And you should never have to only be a mentor to your partner. How is it never a decent man they’re offering.

You’re right. I see how that can be taken and could affect someone’s feeling of self worth. I will be more careful with the words I use. A little update, I saw her earlier and she made a joke about my boss saying I’m a “firecracker, and why would she want to trust me onto that poor boy” (something I also joked to her at the time of my story “why would you do that (me) to him.” Anyway, to what he said to her, she said to me “well you could slap him upside his head because that’s what he needs” an…

That’s good at least! Can’t force anyone to date. And I’m glad so many of us are waking up and choosing ourselves.

I think it’s when they think our dating pond is going dry. They don’t want us to die of loneliness 😒. And since when do we do the chasing! Our moms get so desperate for us.

Another coworker that’s known her for years didn’t even know she had a son 🤣, only a daughter. So it’s either saying nothing at all or nothing nice. Sounds like a catch!

You know if you just show up they think it’s a great date! 😂 10/10 now let’s go on trips together…wtf. So sketch! And how have they not caught on that talking about themselves most of the date is a huge turn off…I guess they’re not even close since so many of us experience that 😅

If we’re going to do all that we might as well do it for children. Men are becoming redundant 😬 there’s less and less we need or want them for.

Noted! Look at us, doing our part to undo what’s been done to women. It’s a good thing. And yes it will! I’m immensely happy this sub exits.

Such a good post!! Most of the 50/50 or cheap dates thing is because they’re just trying to get their dicks wet and have to date-lie to too many women in the beginning to get that. It gets expensive so they cop out as much as they can.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/09/21 03:32 AM

Right? But you know they won’t even do that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/09/21 03:19 AM

Oh! Haha! 😋. Yes! So many women before us! I try to undo it anywhere I can with women in my family and just women in meet. I shed advice anywhere I see it needs. Little by little we’ll open their eyes to the truth. And I give props to the ones that are ahead of their time, they need to know they’re on the good path. Where many of us wish we were at their age. Whoops I went off lol, but yes I agree!

I wanted to go back and ask her if he’s in therapy and if not that he should be. Never got around to it. I actually believe she likes me more than she does most. She actually gets along with very few women, I get along with most. She’s had problems with women at our and other sister stores, but she’s never acted up to me (nor plainly insulted me). I don’t hold my tongue and I feel like she knows that so she won’t try to get smart with me. She’s nice enough lol, I think she honestly doesn’t see h…

Girl same! And it’s funny how they like to unload on you and make you feel bad if you even remotely vent. Pass. Now they get the “oh that sucks,” and if they try to say too much I straight up tell them to get therapy.

Honestly probably. If you’re that bad off that mommy is trying to find you a girlfriend, your life might not be going that well. Right? I mean come on 🤣 at least start with a desirable trait for what you’re trying to sell us.

u/GlancingWillow A tool! Yes. Very good way to put it. That’s exactly how they see us in this situation. I don’t know how it makes sense to them. First, two broken people don’t make a right. But not only are there different levels of depression, men are usually worse off and do not try to help themselves (probably why). And yes, they are always “less” than us in most if not every way. Not sugarcoating it. Tired of people trying to set up beautiful, working on themselves, even confident, women wi…

58 year old coworker with a 55 year old wife has repeatedly said “I wish my wife still looked the same as when we first got married.” You wish your wife didn’t age 30 years as YOU did? And mind you, he’s obviously wrinkly af! The man, as most, believes a woman’s value lies in her youth and beauty. He’s a constant reminder of what goes on in the minds of sexist men, but out loud.

I thrive on alone time! It’s really simple but I like lounging around the house listening to relaxing music or just silence. And cooking/eating delicious foods throughout the day. I’ve also recently started baking bread from scratch and it’s so therapeutic and just feels nice. Got home from work a few hours ago and wanted to have a nice evening, so I currently have a bread in the oven proofing :) house is about to smell real good. Something else I’ve found recently is relaxing walking videos on …

Exactly. Honestly though, even my gay friends hardly (if ever) use “partner” to describe each other. And it just feels out of place and awkward in my straight relationships. But to each their own right? If it feels fine and normal to some then it works for them. It’s definitely something to see eye to eye on in a relationship for me now though.

I thought I was the only one that had a problem with “partners.” My ex insisted that’s what we should refer to each other as. I found it uncomfortable, but he obviously didn’t care what I thought about it. After all, they’re in the relationship all by themselves. We’re just collateral.

Yes! Very disrespectful. I always shower before sex. For the same reasons. I don’t understand it either. I’ve had boyfriends try and tell me “but I showered this* morning,” and I personally wouldn’t even have that big of a gap between shower and sex.

The amount of guys that tell me to use plan B as a method to “not get pregnant” 🤡 and you if explain to them that it only works right after and also disrupts birth control they can’t comprehend that. We go through so much shit they refuse to even pretend to understand.

Why do they think dirty dick is ok… Went out with a guy for a few weeks and one time he showed up at my house and hadn’t showered for 3 days, and he thought that was ok because “I haven’t sweated since I’ve only been in the office and home/car in ac.” Told him (more like lectured wtf) him never to see me again without showering first, and he did just what I said. But damn, can you imagine being annoyed because the girl you’re seeing is “forcing” you to shower lol

The last guy I slept with thought he might have caught something from one of the two girls he slept with after me (in one month) or before them. So I chose he get tested just to be safe. What did he do? He said he was just going to “get treated for trich and NOT get tested.” That’s what he thought he had because porn killed his dick so he thought he was developing ED from trich. And that’s when I decided I was officially done with that life. That lifestyle is absolutely not worth our health. The…

Same! 20-25 wasted. I’m still working on getting pass all that time I wasted. 2 years no sex and then 3 years no sex. When I came out of that shit I didn’t even know how to date, while also figuring out my boundaries that were always attacked. So another 3 years single figuring things out. So much of my youth wasted. Would not recommend, just don’t do it.

Way too many of my ex’s have decided for themselves how “we” would “decorate,” and before we moved in together (we didn’t). I’ve been told I couldn’t have anything on the walls (“except in the garage”), couldn’t have anything out that didn’t go with the theme they choose for both of us (gray and minimal), and I couldn’t keep my favorite colorful utensils that I already owned, “we would need to get different ones.” And would try to make me the one “overreacting.” God, glad I don’t tolerate that b…
