I think maybe it depends on a dude's circumstances, doesn't it? Picking out whatever's relevant to his situation

You might not think the lack of strong fathers is a side effect of feminism, but RedPill certainly does

I see where you're coming from. It took me a little while to grasp the fact that there are men out there who genuinely don't (or didn't) understand average sexual dynamics between men and women. I'm talking about the basics, here - that women are attracted to men with leadership qualities, to men who stand their ground have a "take charge" attitude, and an assured, poised disposition. It didn't really occur to me that there are people who were raised in an environment where this wasn't made comp…

Pretty much my thoughts as well. Even if the some of the things they say are pretty ridiculous and gross, I don't think people have any real reason to worry about these guys "abusing" women out IRL lol

I've realized after poking around on these subs for a bit that when it comes to sexuality and relationships, my beliefs and life experiences line up largely with the RP mentality. I honestly think that they're pretty spot on. But MAN, that sub...a lot of the dudes on there are just too obnoxious to be taken seriously. Or, hey, maybe I'm just sensitive. Anyway, yeah, at a first glance ( and a second, and a third) it would appear as though they might have some sort of beef with the average broad..…

...it seems like a lot of the people here who are RP, or lean RP, REALLY over think things I mean I realize this is a debate sub, but this had to be said

I doubt she was raped. It's one thing to wait a very long time before reporting a rape out of fear or shame, but maintaining friendly contact with your supposed rapist? Nah. In any case, she seems to have some serious mental issues.

Yeah the extremists on either end are obviously way off. It's stupid to adopt either mentality as the be all end all. I don't really think the people who blather on about this crap, on either side, really even believe it themselves.

Yeah, I think I've noticed this in people who are past 50. Nothing that significant, but the difference is still there. Anyway, they're past 50, and at that point it's kind of..."meh"

I feel like a woman who was pretty deep into feminist ideals would struggle to see things from her SO's perspective, which would obviously cause problems down the line. This probably only applies to the extremists though - the ones who believe that no matter the situation, the man is ignorant to the plights of women, and his opinion just isn't valid.

Yeah exactly. There could be any number of things going on in that relationship, he could be unemployed and leeching, etc. I guess if you want to be optimistic you could also assume that they just like eachother and she just does it for him. Who the hell knows.

It's hard to say. Whenever I'd see a man wandering around with a less than attractive woman I'd think he was a saint. Eventually I noticed that this really wasn't that uncommon, and that (most) men truly aren't that picky. I still glance around occasionally and think "Sheesh, he could certainly do better than that". But if he could, why didn't he? Of course, I don't know the circumstances of any strange couple's relationship at all, so it's stupid to judge.

I used to believe that men, ALL men, would settle for nothing less than perfection when it came to picking a woman to be with. Not even kidding around here, I genuinely believed this for a long time. Pretty laugh worthy now.

I dunno about this. Are men like this guy really comfortable with dying alone, wifeless and childless? When guys write enormous essays like this, it just seems like they're trying to convince themselves that they're okay with that sort of ending. I always assumed that men panic the same way women do when they approach 40. It's weird to me that someone could have such terrible experiences with the opposite sex that they swear off ever trying to build a life with someone again.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
