Opinion: AskFeminists has no interest in "male feminist" perspectives on dropping college attendance. And censors opinions accordingly.I had a previous account get a permanent ban just because I posted a couple times on /mensrights. Multiple subs that I commented on a single time banned me immediately because I had posted on there, and I guess after so many bans you get a overall permanent reddit ban. The thing is I never even posted anything even remotely problematic, just participated in what was actually a good discussion, but they didn't care. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 05/08/26 04:32 PM
Feeling bad and ashamed of being a manSame here. My husband and I were actually part of an LGBT meetup group years ago, and I remember most of the lesbians in the group being pretty cold towards most of the gay men, even though most of us were really friendly and laid back. They seemed to have this "us vs. them" mentality, and after a while it became clear that a lot of them just didn't like us because we were men. It was really disappointing actually, but an eye-opening experience for a fairly young and recently out gay man at the … | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 22/07/26 06:10 AM
Anyone noticed how Google did not have a Father's day doodle?Several years back I had one of those tear away page a day calendars for my office desk. It was just cute little cartoons each day. They had one for literally every holiday...except Father's Day. Even Arbor Day got a themed cartoon on that day, yet Father's Day was just another cartoon. I'll admit it bothered me more than it should, but it sucks how often it feels like it's totally forgotten about and just another Sunday. | /r/MensRights | 24/06/26 01:29 AM
"Whenever I hear people emphasise the awfulness of women/ children being hurt, or killed, part of me really worries that we're devaluing the value of men's lives. I understand why people emphasise those groups, and of course it's horrifying. But how do men & boys feel hearing it?"I forgot what the numbers were or even what the tragedy was, but the gist of it is a few years ago there was a story about a tragedy that killed a lot of people. Something like 65% were women and children according to the article. Upon further investigating, it turns out the demographics were something like 45% children, 35% men, and 20% women. Women were literally the lowest demographic killed, but they were lumped in with the children to get the "65% women and children" number. | 1 | Article on Postpartum Depression in Men on a Women's/Feminist Website - Progress?Thank you so much! Things are pretty great now, and 2020 in a way seems like a totally different lifetime now things have changed so much since then. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 13/06/26 04:11 AM
Article on Postpartum Depression in Men on a Women's/Feminist Website - Progress?I became a father for the first time in 2020, and I absolutely had postpartum depression. One thing very few people talk about it how extraordinarily lonely it can be as a dad with PPD. All the sources of support out there are not only geared towards moms and only moms, but dads are actively told to stay away. Even online, I tried to share my story in a post-partum group only to get literally laughed at and mocked for "being a man trying to make everything about him." Unfortunately, far too many… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 11/06/26 05:34 PM
Why Is Misandry In Literature Isn’t Viewed As An Issue?I've done a lot of reading lately, and I try to keep a pretty wide variety of genres and authors. But lately, I've noticed that literally every single book I've read that was written post-2020 has a deadbeat father, a husband who abandoned his family, or just general "man bad" themes that often add nothing to the plot. It's like modern day authors just have to throw in terrible men in there just because, and it gets exhausting. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 11/06/26 05:32 PM
Actually Dads are taking lots of parental leave - AIBMSAHD here. When my kids were younger I got pulled into the parenting algorithm on social media, which felt like 90% moms bitching and complaining about how terrible men/dads are. I got a little involved in the comment sections then before I learned to just leave it alone. And a lot of them get real, REAL mad when they see an active, involved dad. It's like they don't actually want us to be involved and hands on so they can keep complaining about how terrible we all are. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 11/06/26 05:27 PM
