Some days I feel like I'm living in a science fiction story written by someone on an acid trip. A guy gets fired for favoring high performers over diversity hires and for not banging his attractive asian boss. What a trip.

I appreciate what you are saying and hope that I have treated your views with respect as well. The thing that I believe is missing from the vast majority of people AFAB is the hunter-killer instinct. I remember as a little boy discussing how we were going to eviscerate the enemy when we were in the army, how we were going to open them up with bayonets and pull their guts out. The neighborhood girls thought we were psychos but we didn't care, it seemed normal to us. 20 years later I'm teaching yo…

How do I explain blue to a person with no sight? How do I describe the smell of flowers to a person who can't smell? How do I explain the rigors of field service to someone who knows nothing about it? The fake PT tests they've allowed female soldiers are only a small part of the absurdity. The aggressiveness, the willingness to use raw violence without a thought, the hardness of character - those things come from a lifetime of attitude building, not a bottle of some stuff the doctor gives you. I…

Trying to discuss the demands of being a field soldier with someone who has never been there is frustrating. Listening to anecdotes about the 1 female in 1000 who can manage garrison life in a combat arms unit as if that should be accepted as the general case is also frustrating. Debating whether general policy should be defined by these cases is so bizarre I'd have to call it irrational. Believe what you want to believe but God help these people if they ever to have to face real combat as infan…

As far as talking out my ass goes, having been an infantryman I think I can discuss that with some degree of certitude. The hardships I mentioned are the first that come to mind, to that we could add sleeping in a shelter half on hard/wet/cold/hot surfaces, MREs - which are a substantial improvement over the C rations I enjoyed - bugs, lack of hygiene, and the ongoing possibility of violent death and debilitating injury, etc. Sexism doesn't figure in to this, this is hard reality. And unless you…

For the sake of argument, I'll accept 5% as infantry however, when a draft comes along they aren't usually looking for computer programmers, they are looking for replacements for men killed or injured on the battlefield - infantry. So yes, 5% at any one time but with a horrible rate of turnover.
/r/PussyPass10/10/22 09:19 PM

Let's be frank for a moment. If you are a drafted male, there is a good chance you're going to end up in the infantry. Infantry is pretty demanding physically, heavy rucksacks, long marches, brutal physical training. Most women just don't have the physical endurance to make it. If you take someone that used to be a man, depending on how much surgical work has been done then there's a pretty good chance they could pack the gear and get the job done. I doubt they'd put someone with C cup tits in a…

I have a more than adequate vocabulary to express my thoughts and I stand behind this choice. Honor is "adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct" and also "fulfill an obligation or keep an agreement." A standard part of most wedding vows includes "forsaking all others", self control would be an inherent trait of an honorable man. An absolute coward may have great self control as they fear offending others, a man of honor is controlled by principles rather than by fear.
/r/PussyPassDenied01/09/22 07:25 PM

It's called being honorable. Look it up some day, it may be a foreign concept but a lot of us take it seriously.

If the victim had been a female and the perpetrator took Viagra before the assault then it would be rational and based on precedent to believe that he intended to have vaginal sex with her. The fact that "poppers" are used to relax the anus speaks to the intent. As to the fact that the perp was a man, I usually find it beneficial to look at several news sources as it is fashionable among the media to hide deviant behavior - sometimes a publication steps out of line and reports the truth as was t…

The death penalty is at an artificially high price due to the efforts of activists. They make the same arguments against nuclear power when in both cases it is the cost of fighting endless injunctions is what drives the cost up. I'd be OK with a fast death penalty under the following conditions: Clear, incontrovertible evidence - like a video recording + DNA Multiple homicides No reasonable claim to self-defense or victims are minors In those cases I'd send their ass down the express lane, convi…

According to Vera, Louisiana can keep someone in the joint for about $16K/year whereas New York spends about $69/year. Quite frankly, I'd recommend NY send their jailbirds to Louisiana where they could enjoy that southern hospitality.
/r/PussyPassDenied08/12/21 08:14 PM

I'd be onboard with that if it was just a few hundred but we're keeping tens of thousands of life sentence cons in there for about $30K/year per con. If you spent half of that money on real vaccines we could probably wipe out some diseases in this world.

Between California's lifetime alimony and now "enhanced" spousal rape laws it will surprise me if anyone wants to get married there. You'd almost have to wonder: if a man applies for a marriage license, does that act demonstrate impaired mental function? If so, is someone able to enter into a marriage while impaired? They've outlawed marriage.

I respect your position against capital punishment but wonder how we can punish her more than the taxpayers have been punished. To keep her in prison for 20 years has cost at least a million dollars aside from the money we've probably spent on her attorneys and appeals. You're ignoring my premise that the idea of limiting the places it can be spent so that its not wasted on things that are not in the interests of the children the money is supposed to be spent on. That in and of itself is a prima facie case for handling child support in the same manner as EBT. Check your math while you're at it, if 17% is the average child support rate and the the average US income is $60K then that comes to $850/month, a bit more than $400.
/r/PussyPassDenied23/09/20 12:41 PM

If your point is that most people don't pay this much, I'll concede that is true. The cases I'm talking about are the ones like Brittany Spears and other wealthy folks that pay that much per month. The truth of it is that when there is big money involved, the courts use child support to in place of alimony. It doesn't cost that much to take care of a child - I've raised several and I know this to be true.

Amazing conclusions she reached. Aside from the fact that most courts either openly or quietly embrace the "tender years" doctrine which makes any custody battle for a father an uphill battle.
