I don't think so either. But where I'm at (western Europe), every time someone uses their legal freedom to avoid women or minorities, there's a shitstorm and people try to come up with rules and laws. Except when it's against men.

You have to admit he deserves it for being dumber than that woman (who is dumb to begin with) : she's taking a risk, but on the side where it's a little less dangerous, and she might have good balance and know her limits.

Sadly in a big enough team (I'm thinking even 5 or 6 people, mut maybe as low as 3) you can have a useless member and still get results (provided everyone does extra to compensate for the useless one).

Yes and no. In computer science, if you're good and associate with people who are too, everyone wants to be proud of their own work and carry their own weight (even one-up you by making their part of the project even better). It's a great dynamic. If you're good at what you do, just watch out for people who have never spoken to you who show up and suddenly want to partner with you.

The judge mostly said she'd only get half the value of their house instead of him having to pay her enough to buy a new (similar) one for herself. Small victory, but it gives hope.

France has a super low age of consent for instance (15, but in practice it's not really even enforced and you see a lot of 12yo and up fucking older guys), but if someone is under 18 we have very strict laws about anyone who might have some kind of authority (teacher, family, coach...). Repeat offender rapist pedophile (and seems not to have understood how bad her actions are). I'd be ok with her getting out sooner only if she gets real therapy, understand how bad her actions were, and is adequately monitored once she's out. But I think that for this kind of offender this is going to take years, even decades. Look up reoffense rates for sex offenders once they're out.

I hope they keep her in until 2045. So that her kids and her grandkids will only remember her behind bars. And that afterwards she has to register for life as a high category sex offender so that even interaction with her grandkids and great-grandkids have to be supervised.

Using nessiary force to move her would of been a better option. Which would have required putting hands on her, which she could have used against them by lying about a bunch of things. They probably risk less (in terms of possible legal issue) by tasing her.

But think why would those officers use the taser instead of other means : they know they're taking a risk if they do anything else. At least using the taser is "clean" because the woman can't pretend she was injured or groped.

Plus if they had put their hands on her to make her comply, she could have pretended to be injured, cry rape, whatever... At least with the taser the situation is clean cut, and they can't accuse the officers of using excessive force.

Are you kidding? He gets a lot of callouts on Twitter each time he tweets that kind of stuff. Plus if you only go by Reddit, there are more than a few social justice oriented subs that start threads every time one of his witticisms gets popular. I know it's minor drama, compared to other things happening right now, but imagine it from the scale of a business who'd have to deal with a few hundred people starting shit (fake online reviews, letters, calls...) every time that employed shitposted.

I meant not giving a fuck about not starting shit (quite often a single tweet of his results in a big shitstorm of people calling him out). If he was employed somewhere, those people would probably harass his employer or at least give him some very bad PR.

Turns out that going to work every day to have your voice ignored or your ideas stolen feels like a waste of effort.
