I quite enjoyed it personally. It definitely has a strong "girl power" vibe and the manosphere caricature is a bit obnoxious but as a whole I found it entertaining. I do think there could have been a more fair look at the male perspective in the show but it's worth checking out. None of the main characters are particularly great people which makes it better than how it could be otherwise in my opinion. My favorite is probably Roxy, without giving any spoilers.

It's an adequate term to describe a non married coupling that has a stronger connotation than couple.

I'll fuckin take it if I can never have to hear "a real man would take X life threatening risk for me" again in my life.

In my experience women are the staunchest advocates of traditional gender roles. Many men on here have commented that in their lives the women are the ones who are the most cruel or least caring when you open up or act less 'manly'. Vulnerability and showing weakness is viewed as, surprise, weakness. When I opened up about being abused sexually as a kid, my mother told me "funny how we didn't know" and to get over it, my girlfriend viewed me as less of a man and left me, and my woman friends moc…

My apologies if you felt my insult was directed towards you, I meant it toward the individual who deleted their posts. I agree with you, best of luck out there 👍

They were arguing in favor of the death of homosexuals and that by saying that it was incorrect to murder homosexuals for being homosexuals, we were applying a western moral lense and judging cultures where we had no place to. I was in the process of writing a rebuttal but they deleted everything because they're, quite frankly, a moron and incapable of having their ideas challenged.

In my experience they won't. I tried to talk about being raped as a child and was told my issues were from me being unemployed and a spoiled only child. In my experience the mental health industry isn't about helping and healing you, the patient, it's about minimizing your negative impact on society. If you're suffering but producing value then the job is done.

I don't disagree entirely, I am well aware of the risks of pregnancy, which is why I avoid sex unless it's someone I want to have a child with. But the fact of the matter is that a woman has 100% control over reproductive and parental decisions once impregnated, which is not acceptable in an egalitarian society. If a woman has the right to terminate parenthood, which I do not disagree with, a man should have the right to as well. Instead, currently, a man has no decision to make once the woman i…

By paying child support you are taking the role of provider, a parental duty still for a child you didn't want. Unless you are completely free from all duties to the child then you are still parenting them in one shape or another form. This is why many here advocate for "paper abortions" where the father has no dutues to the child.

As one of the largest news corporations Fox is mainstream media, if not the most mainstreamiest due to the viewership. I dunno how people can keep saying that fox isn't mainstream when it is the MOST mainstream news out there. https://www.statista.com/statistics/373814/cable-news-network-viewership-usa/

Statements like these which are frequent from JP enjoyers are exactly why people think listening to him is a red flag. More often than not when I hear someone listens to Jordan Peterson it's followed not long after by some sigma male "men are superior" bullshit.

I don't really see the issue here, just someone venting about being gatekept. I mean the whole YOURE AT THE BOTTOM OF MY TOTEM POLE PLEB is a bit too much ego for my tastes but it seems reactionary more than anything

I went to college because it was pressured on me without me knowing exactly what I wanted to do, I just knew that everyone wanted me to go to college, and the way that society is structured, college is now more or less the bottom bar for success. I realized quickly that I really don't like the college atmosphere. I made no friends and found everyone I met to both be a "shitlib" decrying the evils of the cis white man(which I am), while at the same time all of them revealing with no prodding to b…

I find that it's a mathematical improbability that our universe is the original one given the knowledge that eventually, if not currently, we will be able to fully simulate universes. So there may be a "god/creator" but I don't believe them to be worthy of worship. And I take personal issue with the gods represented by most religion, abrahamic or otherwise.

Women do not get raped more than men do the 1 in 5 statistic is a myth. As a matter of fact, women self report raping men at similar rates as men raping women. Here is a post from /u/lightning_palm detailing the studies on it. https://www.reddit.com/r/FeMRADebates/comments/qlrday/comment/hj7nuoe/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 I suggest you look into some of these studies detailing how men are raped as much as women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
