1	A book for anyone who still buys into the Suffragettes being heroes The entire philosophy of the suffragettes was to cause as much carnage as possible. It was the suffragists (different group with different spellings) that campaigned peacefully. The suffragettes actually had very little impact on the vote and may even have delayed it. The suffragists (different group) campaigned peacefully and probably had far more to do with women getting the vote. As did WW1 as that was when all men got it and all women over 30 owning property.
