And you know this because of all that time you spend trying to get women, right?

Autism is a significant intellectual disability, not just a guy with no game. You may as well start a thread by saying “Debate: don’t be re****ed”

I’m satisfied with the success I have in dating. I was just answering your question as to what I want to get out of it.

There are solutions that would make a lot of men happy. They just aren’t feminist solutions.

A little strange to ask a question like this when you have to pre-empt it with such disdain and cynicsm. Yeah I picked up on that snide attitude from OP as well. “Genuinely” asking why men suck and refuse to do better.

Yes, because I sincerely believe that women are the privileged gender in the 21st century. I think my life would be much easier if I were a woman, and that I’d have achieved much greater rewards for my academic and professional achievements than I have as a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 08:39 PM

And as I pointed out to you in my first reply, men are already getting screwed over. Allowing men to opt out of responsibility for a pregnancy would move them closer to legal equality with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 07:48 PM
0

Then I think the legal basis should be changed to make reproductive rights less unfair for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 06:41 PM
-1

That’s how things are now already though. If a woman wants to terminate a pregnancy the man has no say in the matter. If a woman wants to keep a pregnancy the man has no say in the matter. To me, this is deeply unjust and unequal and is by far the most salient example of how female privilege has been codified into law.

Oh well if it’s not scientifically possible according to you then it must be true!

Look, I’m not saying that women are terrible at math. But it is likely that they will do less. They’re capable of doing otherwise but that’s how it is right now.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 11:27 AM

Oh, well you were mistaken. Women making choices can cause problems for men just like men making choices can cause problems for women. I don’t recall ever arguing to the contrary.

You thought I was suggesting otherwise?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 08:06 PM

I was able to infer your opinion on the subject, though I appreciate the clarity. What I’ll point out before wrapping up here is that problems, like all human estimations of value, are subjective to the individual.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 03:33 PM

Yes exactly, choices can cause problems. To my knowledge this isn’t a controversial observation.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 03:27 PM

Oh good, from your first reply it seemed like you were unaware. I’m glad that you’re able to recognize that the actions of one can cause problems for another.

To someone who believes in traditional gender roles, women aren’t the problem, it’s women who don’t want to adhere to their traditional gender role that are the problem.

How do you measure the sincerity of an action? For instance, I always offer to pay for everything on a date, but not because I’m selfless and self-sacrificing. I do it because in my experience, I’m more likely to get what I want if I at least offer to pay for everything. So for me at least, offering to pay for everything is itself a form of manipulative behavior. It’s something I wouldn’t normally do but that I choose to do when I want something from someone and I think that paying for everythin…

Yawn. Watch me make a statement equally as compelling and informed as your own simply by changing two words. You mean how the entirety of blue pill rherotic is women grasping at straws to soothe their egos?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:41 PM
2

You can always tell when someone is grasping at straws to form an argument when they start a reply with “So you agree with me that…” then completely ignore everything the person they’re replying to actually wrote. Here watch, I can do it too. “Oh so you agree with me that the semantic differences in feminist schools of thought are largely window dressing on a fundamentally anti-egalitarian ideology?” Just saying something doesn’t actually make it true.

I actually care in the sense that I probably wouldn’t want to marry a woman with a high income because if I were to get married and start a family I’d want her to be the primary caretaker to the children while I’d be the primary earner.

Okay, well then please refer to my initial post. My opinion is that the answer to your question is “No. Most men don’t think that the woman of their dreams is average.”
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 03:52 PM
4

What a coincidence that every “average woman” that the redpill observes to understand ‘female nature’ is basically a woman that appeals to the male fantasy! Could it be many men suffer from social media and porn brainrot to the point they think their dream girl is the norm?! But…I already told you that in my opinion the average woman today doesn’t really meet the criteria of being a man’s dream girl. Are you trying to imply that men unfairly or inaccurately rate the women they find attractive as…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 03:38 PM
15

I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make. You started the thread by saying that average women appeal to the male gaze. I replied saying that in my opinion, the average woman in America today doesn’t really appeal to the male gaze as I’d understand it. Now you’re agreeing with me and sharing a random short form video?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 03:32 PM
9

The average woman in America is 5’6” and weighs 170 lbs. Not very appealing to this male gaze.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 03:19 PM

Why would that make me want to get married today?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 12:57 PM

I’m not familiar with the data you’re referring to. My perspective on the matter is informed by my observations of my parents and grandparents marriages.

Thank you for illustrating my point. I wrote something you disagree with and rather than trying to formulate a coherent argument against it, you choose to make assumptions about me as an individual instead. If mods actually enforced the rules as written for debate threads then a low effort post like yours, which is literally just an ad hominem jab based on how my post made you feel, would be removed.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 06:26 PM

I like the idea of having a wife but as far as I’m concerned marriage in the 21st century doesn’t really make sense for men.. I’d probably consider marrying the woman of my dreams, but I don’t think she really exists, and short of that I don’t see any good reason to consider marriage at all since from my perspective, it’s an entirely lopsided arrangement that tends to benefit women far more than it benefits men.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 05:54 PM

But games that fit what you’re looking for already exist, and you’re saying that it’s not enough and that more games designed with men in mind need to be made more inclusive. Why can’t you stick to the games you enjoy while letting men stick to the games they enjoy? Why does being inclusive mean more of what you want and less of what men want?

The double standards of discourse are pretty frustrating. There’s no shortage of scientific literature to support my perspective on the role of genetics in behavior and evolution. Just recently I finished The Red Queen by Matt Ridley, which I’d recommend if you’re interested in learning more about the topic.

One of the issues at the heart of the red pill blue pill divide is where one lands on the question of nature vs nurture. We’ll clearly never see eye to eye on the function and consequence of genetics.

The perception of beauty is a strong indicator of genetic fitness even if it can’t fully and accurately capture a subject’s genetic profile at a glance. Cosmetics typically aim to create the illusion of common markers of genetic fitness.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 03:12 PM
-1

Human attraction, like all human behavior, is governed primarily by genetics. The possibility that a person considered beautiful by the opposite sex could carry a genetic disease that has no physical expression doesn’t seem like a strong argument against that view in my mind. A beautiful person might have invisible but deeply impactful genetic flaws hidden in their otherwise “fit” DNA, but there’s just as much chance that an ugly person carries those same flaws AND doesn’t have any of the “fit” …

Not all examples of hurt are easily quantified into value. Someone who values abortion being outlawed or conservative jurisprudence is probably hurt far less by the current administration than someone who does not, even if both are harmed by the administration’s economic policies.

Where’s the victory? In losing less than your opposition, which I thought I had explained above. If I’m in a state of conflict with another party, and waging the conflict causes me to lose $1 while my opposition loses $2, then it doesn’t seem wrong to consider that I’ve gained an advantage, or some form of victory. Victory can be a relative position, can’t it? If one side is hurt, but another is hurt more, is it wrong to say the side hurting less is winning the conflict? Oh and in case you were wondering, I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016, 2020, or 2024.

The ‘gender war’ is a hallucination from hatful male content creators pointed at boys to young to have fully formed brains. Cool so you actually have no problem with going back to a patriarchal social hierarchy then? Because if the answer is no, then I’d argue that gender war is real, and that you’re trying to advance the position of your side in it by claiming that your perspective is neutral.

Easy, the rise in career women earning as much or more than most men has come alongside a growing number of women complaining that they can’t land a man on their level (or above). https://www.npr.org/sections/planet-money/2026/05/19/g-s1-122695/the-missing-men-of-the-american-marriage-market If women weren’t inherently hypergamous, there wouldn’t be a glut of high earning women feeing like they have nobody to marry.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 02:25 PM

As a proposed logic puzzle, this is trivial. In a ficitonal hunter gatherer society where men had more domestic authority but also had to do 100% of the hunting; they would be at significant physical danger daily which is harmful. They’d also have more authority in your thought experiment, so clearly there’s a trade off in terms of value propositions. Your assessment that this is trivially easy to resolve is a reflection of your subjective values.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 02:21 PM

Here’s my perspective on the four points you outlined. 1: Not all positions of power are held by men. Under a patriarchal system they would be. 2: How would I be more harmed by a system where I have more power and authority than by our current system? 3: Women want the benefits of patriarchy but none of the drawbacks. Men today experience the drawbacks of patriarchy but none of the benefits. Women don’t promote patriarchy because in a truly patriarchal system they wouldn’t be able to cherry pick…

Clearly my beliefs can’t be “a total lie” because they’re derived from my real lived experience growing up in a one income household. Household dynamics where the woman tends to domestic affairs while the man provides resources for the family have a strong basis in reality by virtue of the fact that they have indeed existed. Even if such arrangements weren’t the most common throughout all of human history, to say that they have no basis in reality is simply a willful delusion.

I don’t care. If she doesn’t then she’s not for me anyway. That’s my whole point. If I can’t have the kind of relationship with a woman that I want, then I’d rather not have a relationship with a woman at all. I don’t care if you consider what I want to be mostly a myth, it doesn’t make me want it any less, and I don’t see a good reason why I would want to settle for less either.

It’s fine that you always offer to pay half on dates but in my experience I’m vastly more likely to get 2nd dates and beyond if I unhesitatingly offer to pay for everything. So it can perhaps be difficult for a man not to view you paying for your half as a slight against him and an indication that you’re not actually interested in him because like I said before, in my experience it usually means there isn’t going to be a second date.

Your hypothesis that men would gravitate away from red pill thinking if they would only experience ego death runs contrary to my experience with psychedelics.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 06:27 PM

The only way that short people would stop existing is if women stopped having babies what short men and men stopped having babies with short women. Understanding this helps considerably to explain why humans don’t simply evolve into giraffes over time. Even if women tend to select for taller men, many men tend to select for smaller women. So unless both men and women are selecting for height when reproducing, there wouldn’t be any strong evolutionary pressure towards an increasingly tall populat…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:35 PM

So is it reasonable or not for men to generalize women the way that you generalize men?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 01:54 PM

Presumably then you find it reasonable when men say things like “all women are like that”, no?

/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 01:30 PM

And if you’re a woman choosing to do chores, that’s really on you. After all, women have just as much agency as men do when it comes to making decisions, don’t they?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:57 PM
2

When I pointed out to you that women have just as much right to not do chores as men do, you agreed. So if doing chores isn’t something inherent to being a woman, then a man doing or not doing chores can’t relate to him wanting “the upside of being a woman without any of the downsides” because like we agreed upon before, doing or not doing chores isn’t inherently gendered.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:30 PM
3

Debate: Men want all the upside of being women without any downsides and call it "female privilege"
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:03 PM
2

I thought we already established that laziness isn’t a gendered phenomenon, and that both men and women are equally free to do as few or as many chores as they wish. Have you revised your position? If doing or not doing chores is gender neutral, then a man doing or not doing them would have nothing to do with him wanting to”the upside of being a woman without any downsides”.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 03:56 PM
2

Okay, so we agree that doing chores isn’t a downside inherent to being a woman. So by extension a man who doesn’t want to do chores isn’t “wanting the upside of being a woman without any downsides”, he’s just lazy. Hence my post.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 03:31 PM
4

But they’re all explicit examples of female privilege.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 03:19 PM

Usually it's a woman, who takes care of household, and takes additional tasks in her life and then if we talk children, it's even more prominent. You can choose to just not do these things if it bothers you so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 03:16 PM
20

This is among the most significant factors driving down marriage rates in my opinion. It’s simple economics. A woman who makes her own money has less demand for a man than a woman who does not. It impacts the entire demand curve for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 02:28 PM
7

You’re trying to take what they say seriously when they’re an unserious person. Someone who feels confident saying that the majority of men who post here have never worked a job or paid taxes is not someone you can actually expect to have a reasonable dialogue with.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 04:45 PM
2

Correlation does not imply causation. Material standards of living being greater today than they were 100 years ago isn’t caused by men having diminished power and authority. As a man, wouldn’t my life be better if I could have both patriarchy and iPhones?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:35 PM

I already explained the ways in which I believe things were better for the average man. Could you explain to me why losing those things benefits me? How do I benefit from having less power and authority in society?

/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 12:36 PM

For men? Oh I don’t know, maybe it was the monopoly on political power. Legal recognition of men as the head of household. Greater control over economic resources. Stuff like that. How do I as a man benefit from losing these things?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 12:33 PM
