Just look it from a girl perspective, she recives a thousand of messages with just a "hi" or a "hey", how she is supposed to choose between all these messages? I think look is a huge factor in this kind of situation where she have to choose between a bunch of guys who wrote basically the same thing. Is it possible that girls find you more attractive than the average, so your openers don't matter after all?

I did the same experiment on my own few months ago and it was really eye opening. So many guys who thinks they can get a girl attention with a simple "hi" or "you cute". Great post by the way, you made really good observations.
