Buying vehicle for teenage son. Whats your agreement with your ex?If he is old enough to drive he can decide to live with you so he can have a car to drive, the kiddo is getting old enough that he can get a part time job and start making decisions for himself. I would not say encourage his decision but if you have a great relationship with him and he would perhaps rather move from moms to your home to be able to drive and have some independence let that happen. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/11/23 01:59 PM
RocksShe doesn't want the reminders, my ripped up all the pictures that I was in when she packed up my stuff. So it was a surprise when I opened up the boxes of my things. Don't let it get to you. I also feel that you are more sentimental about them, so allow yourself the opportunity to take them be happy that you have them or use them to blow off some steam- skip rocks or target practice. Hopefully it helps, get better | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/07/23 12:37 AM
Question for menYou can try premarital counseling, but I'd stick to the prenup. It guarantees both parties are compromising and are accepting of anything that could potentially go wrong with the marriage and keeps both parties safe. Cuz who's to say that she can't you know become a higher earner than yourself and then she would have the concern of being at the disadvantage. Wish you the best of luck, and hopefully she will come around. Worst case scenario you have heartache but you're still financially whole. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/23 11:05 PM
Did anyone else’s ex become a “strong independent woman”?Same here, but with her image transformation she replaced herself as me. Her wardrobe scarily matches mine to the point that we could be twinning. I don't think she realizes that she did that. Along with cutting her hair shorter than mine. So I get a kick out of it because she hates me so much that to get rid of me she became me. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/07/23 04:33 PM
Update: Stbxw want to see my apartmentYeah just hashed out that this morning. But she finally met me at Walmart so I could pick them up. Something tells me that she hasn't left town yet. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/06/23 05:32 PM
Stbxw want to see my apartmentShe is now claiming to be the "custodial parent and that is her responsibility". I ask if it was approved by a judge, because if it was I was not aware. She said that we agreed to play nice and that she wasn't be unreasonable. I suggest that we take this matter to a mediator. Maybe she will actually agreed to do that. 🤷♂️ | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/05/23 03:33 PM

Stbxw want to see my apartmentThanks guys, My last boss told me sometimes you have to say what's on your mind out loud, to hear it for yourself to believe/accept or get a fresh perspective. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/05/23 11:11 PM

Separated for a year and she still hasn't done anything to be financially independent. On paper nothing yet, not living together either. I am unfortunately in a pickle. I appreciate the insight. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/10/22 11:24 PM
Separated for a year and she still hasn't done anything to be financially independent. She waited until I accepted a job out of state that we were going to move to and settled in for easier transition for the kiddos. Just to add to the complications. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/10/22 10:08 PM
