No. Men's Right claims a focus on men. Feminism pretends to not focus on women. I don't care if they're both "pro-equality", I'm talking about their specific focuses. Sure, neither should disagree with the claims of the other. But what feminism claims to be is at odds with its label.

Good question. My answer is no. Men's Rights activists focus on men's issues. Men's Rights people don't claim to focus on equality across the board. In the same way, I wouldn't say the same thing about women's organizations, because they would focus more specifically won women's issues. I can say it about feminism because it prescribes to be about equality for all, while its name says otherwise.

I can't think of any reason, other than stubbornness, that people who identify as feminists don't just identify as egalitarians. It is, literally, the exact same thing, except it has a more accurate label and people will be more open to hearing about it.

Clearly, that's not the way they intended it to come across. But you hear people saying things like "Real men like football!" or "Real men drink Bud!" and shit like that. They just chose a poor way of phrasing it. Maybe something like "Real men get raped, too" would have been better?
