My high school buddy did it as a summer job during college. Something like $18 an hour, and all full time workers made more plus they had great benefits and a comfortable pension. In actuality, a lot of "low - level professional" type jobs pay comparable or less. And I'd rather be on the back of a truck than trapped in a cubicle all day.
