Yeah, I'm taller than her by like 2 inches. I think what threw me off the most was that she had a "specified" height minimum. Normally girls have just said "I prefer taller guys" without any specificity. Frankly I think it's just a challenge. Her boyfriend just broke up with her on Sunday and she's been double texting me since. Arranging a meetup tonight. Wish me luck brahs

A good point, noted. I'll keep a healthy mix.

That's what I always thought, but once I reached my adult years I began hearing women talk about how they wouldn't even consider a man under 6'. It seems pretty ridiculous to me, and got me down for a while.

Sounds like a shit test. I suggest sleeping with other women anyway. Sounds like she is likely to sleep with other dudes anyway, and is trying to gauge what your reaction will be beforehand.

"You're too tall" - that's a great counter, and it's funny too. Thanks man!

Recently I was having drinks with a girl after we got off work, and she began to shit-test me about my height. I'm not exactly short (5'9" - short for a man, but taller than most women), and I didn't really know what a good counter was for this situation. It shook my frame, tbh. Even though I thought that this wasn't an insecurity of mine, apparently it is. I decided to use the "ignore" method and moved on with the conversation, but I want a good "Agree and Amplify" or possibly a way to flip it …

It's partially your mindset going into the situation. In your first paragraph you said "She was attractive and blonde so of course I knew I didn't have a chance." Rather than rising to the challenge, and relying on your own inner strength, you felt defeated before you did anything. "We got into a heated debate and he said something along the lines of "you will die a virgin". This really stung because I thought he was my friend, and I thought I could trust him with my secret of being a virgin. I'…

Social anxiety is an excuse you use. It's a crutch. Every failure you have with women, or other people at all, can be explained away by social anxiety. You're gimping yourself by taking comfort in the fact that it's "not your fault" that you have difficulty with women; take some responsibility for your ineffectiveness and take the time to learn how to do it.

Sounds like OP has a solid friend to me, as well. It's likely OP's friend grew up with a stronger father figure or other positive male role models in his life, so this kind of activity comes more naturally to him.

That's exactly what's happening. OP's insecurities took over and he buckled, before he even opened his mouth.

I agree. I think that OP definitely need to read the sidebar, and that ultimately this will be a good place for him, but the nature of his post is...cringe-worthy at best. OP is lucky he has a friend that puts up with this level of whiny-ness. OP, start with the sidebar. Know that this kind of problem cannot be displaced upon the people that you're with, but instead this dissatisfaction you feel is personal dissatisfaction with yourself. Other men, and especially other women, will only tolerate …

Saw this by chance whilst scrolling. Realized that I have been supplying validation through snapchat for years now, before I swallowed the pill. Literally just uninstalled SC. Thanks for the advice!

This is a troll thread right? You're making huge mistake after huge mistake. You've pretty much put the final nail in the coffin by messaging her in the middle of the night while she's asleep. Now she really has a reason to move up to this older, funnier, more intelligent guy ("boyfriend is so controlling") Absolutely do not message the dude. This would even further punctuate your sensitivity. Stop being angry and learn where you made your mistakes ("we're so deeply in love"), understand this is…

I suggest listening to/watching/consuming whatever the hell you want to, and unapologetically. That being said, I prefer to only listen to/watch/consume things that I find mentally stimulating. I don't listen to things like Taylor Swift, EDM or whatever garbage is popular now, not because they're blue pill af, but because they bore me to tears - there's little, if anything, to learn from listening to this kind of music (unless you're a burgeoning music critic and decide to listen for study). Doc…

This is a great question, especially because it's not as simple as "I have a drinking problem so I became sober and can't drink with coworkers or I'll become a sloppy alcoholic mess". I suggest rolling with it, and make jokes about it. Make jokes about not wanting to die because you're allergic. Alcohol is kind of like, a supplement to socialization. It's not the main event.

Yeah he has to end it. There's not really much he can do, other than that. Especially because he's likely to be paying for this apartment, too. And probably giving her money to spend on liquor while she's out fucking other dudes. Oh man I feel for this guy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
