If you both work, if you make a good income and y'all live in a paid-off house, have you thought about outsourcing some of the housework? It's not as expensive as you might think, especially if you're just looking for "help" and not people who will do EVERYTHING. For example, we pay a guy just to CUT our grass, but he doesn't do any landscaping work, so it's cheap (we pay $40 each time, and we have a little over an acre! but he just zips around the yard in his zero-turn mower...he gets it done f…

It's a good point. I've always done a good job of showering, washing my hair, washing my face, wearing deodorant and lotion, etc....I haven't always done well with "doing" my hair in a cute way, wearing makeup or keeping up with things like shaving or my nails/toenails. I'm trying to better because I know that those little touches make a big difference

Ahhh yes, I'd love to find some Southern ladies' blogs like that!

I shave my arm hair. I have for years. My arm hair is very dark and noticeable if I don't.

Not drinking too much. A sleepy-eyed, slightly giggly, slightly buzzed girl might be "cute." Totally wasted isn't cute...appearance or behavior-wise.

If he likes how you dress and you like how you dress, I don't think there's a problem!

Irritating earrings are the worst! I can't stand the itchy ears, and the way that my ears turn dark red is NOT cute anyway lol. I can usually get away with wearing fakes for a few hours, but that's it! And I love how you said "get" and not "got." I lose mine, too. As if I'm not irresponsible enough on my own, I have butthole cats who mess with my stuff, too. I'll check out Amazon right now. I have 2 holes in each ear but often don't wear earrings at all, and I feel like cute studs or pearls will…

Ahhh yes, leggings! I love leggings because I have a "nice" ass and legs (it's my belly that is my trouble area that I don't like showing!)

Earrings really do make me feel prettier. I have really sensitive skin but am also cheap and broke, so I usually take my earrings out as soon as I get home because they irritate my ears. I should get a couple of pairs of cheaper "real" earrings, like small studs, that I can wear at home.

This is something I'm trying to work on, too. A few things I have in my mind that will help: Being more patient. Not cursing as much. Not cursing at all would probably be better, but that will probably never happen for me (lol). I've gotten to the point of cursing enough to make a sailor blush, and that is not ladylike at all. If I can at least be more like my mom (she'll drop a mild curse word if she's quoting someone or in a particularly sticky/upsetting/scary situation, but swear words are NO…

My husband is VERY picky and also very wishy-washy and indecisive when it comes to food. I have allowed it to drive me insane for nine years now, and I'm just getting to the point where I'm not going to do that. You're right...it's okay to be present but not perfect. I'll do my best to prepare a meal that my husband likes, but if I miss the mark -- or if he's just ridiculously picky -- after I have TRIED, then I'm just going to roll with it. After all...it's just a meal...we eat them three times…

Start out being a little more casual about it. A casual but cute dress with nice sandals instead of heels. Nice, properly fitting jeans with a dressier top, shoes and jewelry. This gets you in that direction but might be a little more comfortable for you at first.

No, you're right. Her life IS falling apart, and I really do feel for her. For context, though, her life is falling apart because of stuff that's her fault...mostly her drinking. She was "unofficially engaged" (?) and living with a military guy. Got a DWI, and he was PISSED at her for being so irresponsible. He helped her with it (financially) but asked her to STOP drinking and driving. (Not stop drinking...just no drinking and driving.) So anyway, she got drunk and drove home one night, and he …

The more connected that you are with him in general, the more that you will enjoy sex. If he's a good guy and it's a good relationship, it will probably get better and better with time. You'll start to slowly feel more and more comfortable with him. In the meantime, while you're "in the moment," try not to think too much. I know you can't shut your brain off, but concentrate on small things...maybe he has the perfect amount of chest hair, or maybe you love his abs. Don't try to think about the e…

You have to try to block this out of your mind. Otherwise, it might become a self-fulfilling prophecy -- you might get so jealous or clingy or weird that you'll push him away. Or you'll just drive yourself crazy in the meantime. You have to appreciate what you have, do your best to be the best in your relationship, and then relax. Because, like you said, nothing is guaranteed. No matter how "perfect" you are or how much you love him, something COULD happen. All you can do is trust him and try to…

I agree...my husband and I have been together for nine years. We have had so many ebbs and flows in regards to sex. There have been times when we "did it" multiple times a day, or at least once a day. There have also been times when we were having sex a couple of times of month. Our average tends to be 2-4 times a week, but there have definitely been times when we were not on the same page at all for one reason or another -- or seemingly no reason at all. Of course I don't want to hear about any…

I don't think you necessarily came across as just wanting to open up a discussion, though. I don't feel personally attacked, either...although I'm a wife, I am not a mother. I work from home and make more money than my husband. So it's not like I'm taking it personally. I just think your wording comes across a little harsh. It doesn't come across well from a 20-year-old who doesn't have any experience as a wife, let alone a stay-at-home mom.

Why stock trading in particular? It can be quite risky, especially for someone who has little/no knowledge or who doesn't have the extra money to lose. There are other ways that stay-at-home moms who need/want to make some extra cash can do so, without all the risk. (And no, NOT multi-level marketing, please!)

I think it's actually a real problem...alcohol use and prescription pill abuse are on the rise among Millennial moms. I think there are some who think that as long as everything is "Pinterest perfect," it's not a problem...it's a cute quirk or something. Concerning, for real.

We had Taco Bell! Haha. We are moving next week. I stopped buying groceries for the most part, so we've been grabbing food out or eating something simple at home (I did buy some sandwich stuff and some milk and cereal.) I'm ready for this whole moving ordeal to be over so that I can start cooking at home again. I do enjoy eating out from time to time -- even fast food -- but I feel so much better when we eat relatively healthy, homecooked meals.

Why don't more women that stay at home get into things like stock trading and ecommerce since they have so much time on their hands to learn? Talk about condescending and clueless. Most stay-at-home moms don't have "so much time on their hands to learn," at least not if they're doing it right. They have kids to raise, meals to prepare and houses to clean. That said, I am all for self-improvement. Taking an online class, starting a blog, making time to read or research something that you're inter…

It's okay to ask him why he didn't show up and to let him know that it hurt your feelings. Since it's a new relationship, though, I wouldn't nag or make a big deal about it with him. In the future, if this continues to be an issue (him not being there when you "need" him to be), then I'd take note.

I think hardcore feminism has made life harder for both women AND men. I think it's obvious why it's made life harder for men. It has also made it so that women suddenly have to be everything. Give birth, nurse, take care of kids, run a household AND be a breadwinner.

Yes, yes, so much yes! I really need to lose a significant amount of weight. I've been schlubbing around in yoga pants or leggings and oversized shirts, not doing my hair and makeup, not wearing jewelry, etc. And I've been feeling awful. The weight isn't going to go away overnight. I want to look as good as I can for my husband in the meantime, though. And making an active effort helps me feel a lot better, too. So yes, I suggest buying a few cute pieces that actually fit and flatter the body yo…

I agree with the others -- make sure your desire to do so is genuine and not with the goal of showing him you're wife material. Also, be aware that inviting a guy to your home can be dangerous (have you only met him a few times, or is he someone you knew before or someone you share mutual friends with?). Some guys do think if you're inviting them to your home (or going to theirs) that you are interested in hooking up, so that is something to be aware of, too.

Another thing I thought of...it's not a "bad" trait for a woman to be concerned about the care and welfare of a child...?

Well, there would be something of a correlation between red pill-ism and conservatism because red pill-ism relates to a more traditional lifestyle, and so does conservatism. Of course, this does not mean that every red pill person/couple is conservative, but I would imagine that most who are "liberal" are at least of the more moderate type.

I'm 30 and need to work on reinventing myself to be the hot wife that my husband deserves. I won't lie...I've gotten sloppy. I've put on some weight. Probably 25lbs since we met 9 years ago. My husband still says I'm beautiful and sexy and doesn't seem to mind...or doesn't admit it, anyway...he did date bigger girls before me, so I will say I don't think he expects or even prefers "thin," but still...I should get back to the size I was when we met. I work from home and also spend a lot of time w…

If he just said he was disappointed about not being able to see you, feeling a little irritation toward your mom and the whole situation or was hoping you could find alternative arrangements for your sister, then I'd understand. Telling you he's going to break up with you if you don't leave your sister behind to go see him seems low to me. I understand your sister isn't technically your responsibility, but I'd want to take care of her, too. She doesn't need to be in the sole care of your mother,…

So many good tips here! Also, don't feel bad about keeping some nights simple. You do have three kids -- including a NEWBORN. Give yourself a break from time to time. Keep it simple on the weeknights when you just don't have a lot of time...a quick stir-fry, soup and a grilled cheese, salad with chicken or steak on top, breakfast for dinner, etc... Pre-prepping really does help a lot. I know I'm just echoing others, but it's worth repeating again. I usually go ahead and start my prep when I get …

You're exclusive? Exclusive friends with benefits? That's...why...you're asking other people about what his plans are, because you aren't even comfortable asking him yourself and because he DAMN sure isn't gonna tell you himself! That's...why....you aren't invited or even told about things! Honey, your relationship does not affect me or my life at all. But again, he's playing you. I don't care if you're mad at me. Wrong. I lived with my now-husband for five years before we got married. But wtf does this even mean? "It's basically an exclusive FWB deal that's a LTR" The whole point of "friends with benefits" is that you aren't exclusive. The whole point of being girlfriend/boyfriend is that you ARE exclusive. There is seriously no such thing as "an exclusive FWB deal that's a LTR." He's playing you. He brings you around his friends and family when he wants to. When he doesn't want to, he plays it like you'…
