Then the woman responds because she's a single mother and it's a tough day for her due to the father not being around. Little Women is a highly acclaimed film, directing by one of the few women to ever be nominated for best director for Lady Bird. The film was nominated for 6 awards. Olivia Wilde is obviously a very successful actor, and she won a spirit award for best first feature as director. By my own logic, there's a difference between recognizing a sexist bias in your industry and going out of your way to explicitly hire female directors just for the sake of it. I can hire all men for my production team if 95% of the applicants are male, and still find it unjust that female directors' films undergo sexist bias. A great point, and probably a solid reason. I can't speak on why offices are kept cold. I do understand that women have more fat and slower metabolisms, which makes their skin temp generally lower than men. I'm not suggesting office ACs are sexist or that there's some AC conspiracy, I just suggested that if an office blatantly ignored the women's opinion to favor the mens, it would be sexist. Apparently this whole thread believes that AC doesn't increase your chances of infection. I absolutely believe in men's rights. Men who claim domestic abuse or rape are often widely ignored or not believed. Men disproportionately lose in custody battles for their children. While fewer, there are some clear cases of men having less right due to their sex. I would likely not label myself publicly as an MRA to avoid stereotypes tied to the label, just as people don't label themselves as feminists for the same reason.

The issue, of course, is that many people do not believe abortion to be an option. So, it is no longer viewed as a choice to bring the pregnancy to term but rather an inevitable fact. From this perspective, the father and mother are equally responsible and they both have equal responsibility to provide for the child. However, I cannot help but think that birth control is the woman's responsibility, and therefor so is unwanted pregnancy.

Again, I wasn't offering up my opinion on the situation. I didn't comment on the case, or the law, or the morality of any of it. All I said was that the title in this post misleadingly suggests that a boy is facing prison time because a girl cried rape, when he is actually facing prison time because he mistakenly had sex with a 13 year old girl.

Look, I'm fully aware that the pledge was a mistake and it should just have been about nonviolence in general.
