Whilst the alcohol is clearly an issue, it isn't the law she absolutely broke. The article is from a sensationalist piece-of-shit excuse for journalism, if they thought for a second the boy had more than a glass of wine, they'd say something inflammatory like he was "blind drunk", and we'd be looking at a non-statutory charge of rape. It's actually kinda interesting. Legal age for consumption in private in the UK is 5years old. That is an adult can give a child a drink at home from the age of five. I guess the law technically allows for a child to come home a pop open a can of super tennents after a hard day at playschool, as it doesn't specifically stipulate that the child needs explicit permission...
