Good for you Helpful-P, May the space she left soon fill with Peace as this big part of the journey is behind you now. Now, on with the journey of a thousand miles, your life, one step, one moment at a time.

u/FantasticAudience305 Thank you for the good info and comments, esp. being specific for state of CA. No big deal on sales cost not to be included. I just thought if we sold the house instead of a buy out, the (≈ similar) equity to split would be reduced by maybe $50k (the 5-6% Realtor fees, docs, and general other fees). It was one of the hardest things for me to decide to do. She stopped drinking a bout a week after that. She later told me she was motivated to get her shit together before getting divorced. To this, day a year or so later, she blames ME for crushing her by moving out of the …

Furtive, I hear your pain and feel for you. Sending a prayer and some positive energy your way. I may not be far behind you in this process. We are currently in month two of a separate parts of the house separation. I, too, feel we have irreconcilable differences. For me, finding these threads in the past two days have been helpful. To at least not feel like I am the only one. Hang in there, my friend. As they say, this too shall pass. These days, we gotta take a chuckle when we can. I did have …
