We talked about getting married soon when I was 6 weeks pregnant and started to gather all the papers. I already had the feeling that he was going to propose soon anyway, but I got pregnant quicker that we’d expected so I guess he was still planning the proposal and changed his original plan a bit because of my pregnancy. We also had a busy work schedule so he needed to wait for our day off. He proposed when I was 8 or 9 weeks pregnant, so we were engaged for about 3 1/2 months.

We had planned it to happen at the same time, so we got married when I was 23 weeks pregnant. That sounds awful. I don't get it either. Imagine if young moms would approach older moms saying things like “guess your career was more important than your kids”. That's just straight-up disrespectful and often not even the case. So why make assumptions about young moms? This way we know which parents are not that open-minded and stay away from them if they continue to act like that but it's just sad and frustrating...

It's a learning process! With the daily clutter, start by never leaving a room empty-handed: like, when you're in the living room and on the way to the kitchen, take something with you that belongs to the kitchen and put it away immediately. It makes you feel productive all day :D

Our living room is also a dining room, playroom, and office. And we all hate it. My husband’s birthday is this week and I’m going to bake a small cake just for him which he picks + one for our guests. I also painted a little birthday card for him and let our toddler paint something for him too. I’ll decorate everything and buy him some flowers with some money I earned by selling things I didn’t need any longer. I think he’ll like it and I hope that maybe we’ll have a bit time together when our toddler is asleep.

Talk with him about his feelings and needs and tell him yours too. keeping the apartment as tidy as possible while moving to a new one trying to wear dresses daily going to the park with my toddler once a day. I like podcasts too but I rather listen to them in bed or on long walks. I tried listening to them at home but it's quite hard for me to focus on actually being productive AND grasping any information in the podcast. Same with audiobooks. Wish I could do this multitasking though!

Interesting thought! What worries me is that where I live, almost no songs in English are censored, because it's not the official language here. But we're raising our baby bilingual so he'll understand the lyrics sooner than I'd like him to learn these words

I listen to lo-fi too, it's always great to relax but it makes my baby so sleepy that he always wants to take a nap and nurse forever as soon as I put it on, so it's not an option when I need to get things done, but great when I need a break, haha
