2	Refresher: Don't talk to the Police The point here is to get representation, not represent yourself. I've been screwed over by a police officer in an RTA. A friend got persuaded out of his representation. And loads of people I know got screwed over with cautions where I reckon if they had gone to court there'd have not been enough evidence to prosecute. 3	Refresher: Don't talk to the Police And in the UK, if you don't talk in a police interview, this is what the police tell you: . "You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
