i'm not defending amy schumer, but the difference in reaction is that rifes fan base was largely women, so naturally they don't take kindly to jokes at their expense. schumer on the other hand is making jokes at the expense of men for her female audience, so there isn't much of a reaction

not many femenists claim that women are the stronger sex, i can't thing of any. I agree that treatment of abused men, and the lack of abuse shelters is a HUGE issue, but that's strawmanning. I feel bad for you, but your situation seems to be a horrible case of domestic abuse. this is not normal action

there was a time a remember this sub being pretty reasonable. either this place has gotten worse, or i've grown as a person. women aren't the enemy y'all

people still do conventional dating. Just because hookup culture is big, doesn't mean people won't want to get to know you

the second part is true, statistically men use firearms far more which are much more lethal

This is a completely fair point you shouldn’t be downvoted.

I get that dude, but who labels themselves faux Christian?

Hey your probably right, but there’s nothing else to really call it as of yet, still Christian

Absolutely. I grew up in an amazing Christian church that was supportive, pro lgbt, the whole nine yards. It was when I visited my grandmas church when I realized what Christianity truly is supposed to be. Not necessarily something to admire

For sure. I’ve had gfs who text me from their friends phone flirting with me to “see how I react”. That shit is not cool

My point is just that it’s wierd to focus on random feminist jargon that has nothing to do with the mens right movement. It’s unnecessarily combative to pick a fight with feminists over this, when the mens right movement isn’t even supposed to run contradictory to the feminist movement. Mens rights is not about tearing down feminists, it has separate issues

Just as in equating a statement to a random hypothetical and then going, “haha! Gatcha bitch!” I like German culture! “Oh, so you must be a nazi, huh?”

I think your playing the gatcha game at this point, but hey

Ok your just genuinely trying to be retarded at this point. There are a thousand ways to tie a knot but you can’t if you don’t have rope

Ok , if you break the law go to jail, fair. But explain what I did exactly to make me enlist n the military. I’m a man. That’s it

That’s a very interesting point that I’ve never consciously heard while listening to him, But yeah he doesn’t seem to operate with any motive other than the exact point he’s currently trying to argue. Not that he doesn’t have some personal political view/agenda, but he does seem to avoid that in discussions

The media is itching to post about it, they’re just hoping for someone to transition and three weeks later become ceo of Tesla, not dissociate from the rest of society. It’s just not the picture they want to paint

Everyone is saying dump her immediately, which I don’t think is fair. All of us have a detached view of the situation, so we shouldn’t just be making decisions like that. At least try to talk it through with her further, if you love someone you shouldn’t give up on it. But if she proves to be completely unwilling to change, you might have to

That’s true, but I still think that opening the door to banning people based on disagreement is a bad idea, under most circumstances the only thing at stake is reddit karma.

I’ve scrolled videos of fights on Reddit and nothing makes me more mad than that shit. Some women bullying a dude for minutes and when he finally gives a single tap in return, more as a warning shot than anything, all of a sudden 100 men come back her up.

Well I thought that’s more so about specific suicide events, kind of like how your not supposed to show the identity of mass shooting perpetrators (media still does that anyway), but there shouldn’t be any reason not to talk about statistics, right?

I don’t think it’s blanket statement “acceptable”, most people call that out, just in practice I don’t think anyone actually cares if you do hate all men and just never say it out loud
/r/MensRights11/05/22 07:30 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
